It is because you can't not write a coherent sentence...okay maybe not. I have only been single for 6 months between marriages so I have no idea.

I can answer this from my experince and my boyfriend's experince.

First, I'm 28. He is 37. Age does not matter, trust me.

He was my very first boyfriend, and will be my very last. I will never be with another guy besides him. We both are what you can call "Soul Mates".

Now, I've lived my life without going out to meet "guys". I guess I'm a little anal about what type of guy I wanted to have. I've always had geeks attracted to me, but I get turned off by them. No offense.
At 22, I was totally prepared to live the rest of my life alone with a bunch of cats. I didn't need "no man" to please me. All my friends were all trying to rush to the alter, or trying to find a "perfect man". Why should you keep finding a man to make you happy? Live your life the way you want it to be....you'll be surprised where a guy/girl come in your life at strange places.
My boyfriend hasn't had a serious girlfriend for 20 years. When he worked, he spent the money on himself. Goes to places, gambled (smart gambling, not dumb), bought himself a fancy car, etc. He was prepared to spend the rest of *his* life alone.

We met because we both were on the Committee for Miss Deaf New Jersey. He is hearing, I'm deaf. He was more than willing to learn the language of the deaf. That's an odd place to meet the man of my dreams. We fell in love. Simple as that. I was turned off at first because of his age, but after having a wake up call from a good friend, I decided to try the relationship. I could not say anything more.

SO....basically what I'm saying is that many people do live alone because it's their choice. I would have choosen to live by myself for the rest of my life, but I met my bf, I can't imagine my life without him. Even if someone is over 40 or 50s, someone may just stop and say "Hello", and that could be a spark.

Hope this answers your question. I was with NOONE for quite a long time, My bf has been with no one for 20 years. We "found" each other.
