Remember that all religions draw lines of US and THEM. US are always better than THEM! The counter question as a Muslim would be, what do the Sikhs think of Muslims?
The Quran and the Prophet of Islam taught the Muslims that he was the final Prophet from the Abrahimic lineage. However, the Quran is also clear that all nations are sent men who are sent to guide people to the ONE LORD. According to the Quran there are One Lakh Twenty Four Thousand Prophets that came from the Lord Almighty.
Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh religion from all I know about him was a good man, who not only respected the Prophet of Islam but was well versed in the Quran itself. I also understand that he was friends with a lot of Sufi Saints and wanted to bring the Hindus folks into the path of monotheism. The holy symbol of the Sikh religion also reads "Allah" in Arabic (Compare the iranian flag and you will see what I mean).
It was almost a new Indian sect of Islam at one point, until the Muslim kings began to persecute the Sikh Gurus, and the future Gurus separated themselves from the religion of their abusers.
Again the Muslim emperor in most cases was not doing that out of any conviction in Islam. Remember always that the Mughal Emperor Babur defeated a Muslim king to establish his own empire in its place. The king usually had no religion per se but only his selfish political and worldly goals guided his actions. Also remember that the Muslim emperor Yazeed, killed the very grandson of the Prophet himself and did not even spare the six month old son of Husain, the grandson of the Prophet.
Do I consider such a monster a Muslim, who kills young and innocent children? In label yes, but in reality NO!!! Islam is founded on compassion and mercy as well as a deep sense of justice. Those who abandon justice can not support ISLAM.
Labels are always very convenient. It is easy to put a label on someone and then use that label to abuse people or make them seem better than they really are if you favor the label. Essence f a person is based on compassion, mercy and the sense of justice. It is hard to be just for any and everyone.
I hope this answers your question.

Islam does not have viewpoint on Sikhsm as it predates the Sikh religion - other than thinking like all religions that all other religions are wrong :-)
There has been animosity at times past in India between hindus, muslims and sikhs during various times but there is nothing per se in the religion about sikhs

nothing, Muslims say everyone has his/her own religion. As far as
anyone hasn't violated their known rights, they love him/her in any religion, but if somebody violates it, they kick their as.ses.
