I don't know any Hindu's that have any problems with Sikh's. The religions are closely related, both religious groups reside in India, and their common bond does help their relations.
Of course there are fanatics in every religion, and in some areas (especially the farther you move from Punjab or larger cities), there are tensions with fundamentalists.

I am a Hindu Bengali married to a Sikh and find little difference in the life style. I have found the same respect for elders and the same support for siblings and the same love for the youngsters.
It doesn't matter what religion you are, what caste you are, but if you are an INDIAN, work towards improving India, and follow your own MORAL PRINCIPLES when you do it
Religion is a matter between you and GOD, when you bring it outside you begin to see differences and differences cause Hatred and Riots
Even the "Hindus" are not followers of same religion. Vaishnavs are not Shaivas. Shaktas are not Sauras, and so on. Veersaivites are counted as Hindus, but in fact cannot completely be counted as one. Same goes for tantrics, but they're Hindus. Ayyavazhians, are recognised as non-Hindus.
I think of Sikhs as part of the Hindu family, just as Buddhists and Jains are part of one family.
Work for making India strong ... it is a land of UNITY in DIVERSITY... let us respect each others' differences and show two fingers to the scheming evil politicians who wish to divide its people for personal gains.
