Jesus is the son of God, he was crucified.
Children in Africa are sons and daughters of God, but they starve.
People in Lebanon are children of God, they were killed.
God doesn't make people suffer...people make people suffer.
I'll say this again, God is not a sadist. A father wouldn't want his child to get hurt, why would He?
That's why i don't believe that Jesus died in the cross to save us from our sins, and that it was all God's plan. No it isn't. Jesus is the son of God, true. But people, Jesus is HUMAN. He also tried to escape death, because HE IS HUMAN. Society was cruel and unjust, that's the reason why Jesus was crucified. And it ain't God's plan to let Jesus die, as He isn't sadist.
Just so you know, I'm a Christian.

If you believe in what the Bible really says...
Jesus wasn't God - The only Christians who believe that are those who follow revisionist religions which accept the notion of some kind of peculiar holy trinity. Jesus was the son of God, a separate individual yet a part of God, just as the sons of all men are men in his own right and yet still a part of their fathers. For some strange reason a great many Christians either have trouble understanding that concept or are simply not comfortable with it, so they cling to a concept which holds that God, Jesus and some kind of ghost are all one and the same thing.
His sacrifice was a ransom.
His father couldn't help him. God deferred to the free will of his son to do what he needed to. This is what fathers have to do in the fullness of time; their sons become men who must do what they have to do. And even if they could somehow intervene, the good father stands off and accepts that his son has a right to follow his own lights through life - to make his own mistakes and, in doing so, learn from them and become his own man instead of a puppet.

You are going to get so many different opinions it will make your head spin. I don't believe that Jesus is the son of God. I think Jesus was some kind of cult hero, maybe even some what of a magician, and the stories that were told, were invented by a bunch of ignorant people. But then I don't believe in what most Christians call God.

In the Bible, it clearly tells you one of the first things, that in the beginning, Was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was god...the Word, was Jesus...who knows what would have happened in the Garden of Eden, if Eve had not yeilded to temptation and commited the first sin, of disobeying God...So God sent His only begotten Son, in flesh form,..as a Ransom sacrifice, to cleanse us of those sins of Adam and Eve...Jesus knew what He was sent here for, and it is important to know that although many think Jesus WAS God, He was God's Son...in the flesh, but full of the Holy Spirit..so when Jesus was here, although God's holy spirit worked thought Jesus,,...He felt the pain of the flesh...being He was perfect though, He did not do anything that was sinful...It was planned and that was what Jesus was sent to Earth for mainly...but the greatest sin is if we reject Jesus as the Son of Almighty God. hope this helped a bit, email me any time...as you might have guessed, I love Father God and Jesus

Jesus came to earth for the very purpose of hanging on that cross. The whole point is that sin has a price. (death) And Jesus paid that price once for all. Now, if He were still in that grave, I'd have to say that He was a magnificent man. But since He got up and left that grave, and since there were so many witnesses, and since there were so many other miracles surrounding His death and resurrection, I have to say that He is God come to earth to re-establish right relationship with His creation.

Jesus suffered the horror of the cross because He was paying the penalty for our sins in our place.
Our sin has earned us eternal damnation, and by doing what He did, paid the price, and now all we have to do is accept with sincerity God's gift of forgiveness, and endeavor to live according to Jesus teachings, we will have our place in Heaven.
God didn't help Jesus, as He Jesus was making that sacrifice for us, and Jesus himself chose not to be rescued.
When He was burdened with all the sins of the world, God turned His back on Jesus as He cannot look on sin. Thats why on the cross Jesus cried out My God why have you forsaken me?
Jesus died went down to Hell with all of our sins, but because He was pure and had obeyed his Father, He rose again on the third day, and spent another 40 days with the people before going back to God.
His going down to Hell, was what He did in our place, thats why we don't face that fate if we accept what He did hor us..
Sorry if I have gone on a bit, but found it hard to put into words what is so important to me......

it was all part of God's plan....by Jesus' death we are all saved from our sins...Satan thought that by Jesus' death Satan had won..but he lost because Jesus is the Son of God and death can not conquer Him.example: u did something wrong...but ur best friend takes the blame and he gets punished for it but u r saved.
same way Jesus took our sins on himself but since He is God our sins died with His death..and when He rose from the dead we were saved!!!
hope God will touch u.

That was the whole purpose of his ministry, to prove to the enemy a sinless life can be achieved, and he grants this life to any person who accepts him. Because only righteous people can goto Heaven.
There is nothing you can do to get to Heaven, we are wicked at heart. But Jesus already lived a perfect life for us, he himself has opened the window of Heaven for us, none of us can reach it ourselves.
This is fundamentally the difference between true Christianity and most religions, its not about works, its about Christ, and him crucified.

The FATHER sent HIM down to Earth to be a sacraficial LAMB so that we may have Salvation, (for all those who believe in HIM and are Baptised).
We were all lost in our Sins, and through the "Law" there was not one of us that would be "good enough" to get to heaven! We are all sinners, and JESUS came to forgive us our sins.
So, when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the LORD told them that there would be one to "smite the heel" of the serpent, (satan), and that being JESUS, who became the "new Adam".
Trust and Believe in HIM, and Repent your sins, and accept HIM, and get "reborn", through baptism.
Remember, "HE" died on the cross for ALL your sins, so, you dont "wash your sins away" with baptism! When you first believe, and repent, you are forgiven!
I wish you well..
Jesse
