Interesting! A question about greatest inventions that uses as the prime example something that doesn't exist!
The Incas had the greatest civilisation in South America without the wheel.
The greater part of the world's population doesn't have the commode - even in the developed world it only made its appearance in France since lots of Brits and Americans started visiting there in modern times.
Electricity isn't an invention, it is a naturally occurring force.
The greatest invention is farming. The mass production of excess food gives man the leisure to spend time to think about and investigate other things. It is from this that virtually all other inventions have flowed.

No! The greatest invention is this world and the best inventor can be none other than GOD.
The best human invention is the COMMODE. Think if it was not invented, what would be the state of every person?? It is necessity of every person in this world.
A man can live without wheel, fire, Radio, TV, Internet, Space shuttle, mobile phones, but can not do anything without going to the toilet.
This is the best invention by a human. It is not a joke but serious answer to your question, dear.

No... Internet rocks!
I have a cute story about the word "Invention" though.....
around 10 years ago, I was taking a test for English as a second language along with other people from different parts of the world...
So we had to write an essay about the biggest invention in our time... at that time, I thought it was the fax machine...
After the exam time was up... there was this guy in the testing room with me. He, knowing that I was Kuwaiti, was talking "LOUDLY" to his friends about how the question was easy... and just to get my attention he was like:
"You know... I think the biggest invention of our time is the Iraqi invention on Kuwait... man Kuwaitis suffered a lot from that criminal Saddam Hussein"
I laughed so hard! Poor guy! He never got my attention ever again :P

No, The greatest invention is still the wheel. It made moving objects large and small more convenient. It also started many great civilizations. the second is the light bulb, the third is the computer.

The greatest invention ever? There can only be one......................THE WHEEL. Without it, none of the other inventions would have happened.

Probably Electricity was one of the single most important inventions. Without it, everything mentioned above would be useless.
