Im a 14 year old lass, and I think it all depends of the girl. One of my mates always go's to the cinema with his girl. Yes he does pay. But like if your girls ought like me a game of footie in the parks fine. Its all down to personality. And you probably should pay or go halves.

you don't have to go to the most expensive places! Just chose a place you think that you both will enjoy... and it's a nice gesture to pay for it, it shows that she is taken care of..
