If I were to guess I would say it's because of the decline in active lifestyles and poor eating habits. And seeing how many countries now have very high rates of obesity, that is what I would think is the main cause. Starting very young nowadays, people spend more time playing video games or being on the computer than playing outside or exercising, eating fast food or junk food because it's more convenient, using escalators instead of stairs, and driving everywhere instead of walking or riding bikes. Being lazy and inactive is bad for your heart! And wayyyy more people are guilty of this rather than doing cocaine. So that's why I guess the way I do. :)

I would have thought the leading reason for heart attacks in younger adults would be obesity, clogging up the arteries.

But if you widen the spectrum from cocaine to include drugs such as ecstasy and speed I think it can not be far behind. Also think these drugs are linked with what is called sudden adult death syndrome. When someone just drops dead for no apparent reason
