These are only negative if that is how you use them. Are you proud of being a christian? That is pride. Is it negative to be proud of being a christian? No.

Some of the most logical people in the world can do the most stupidest things. War is one of those things. Poverty and greed another. You can name many more characteristics or emotions that rule our very being.

Logic deals with tangible issues that one can reason out.

Faith deals with things not seen. Can't be proven unless some very noticable prayer is answered, and even then it could be explained away by coincidence.

protect people from eachother,

people by nature wouldn`t love eachother spontaneously(survival of the fittest)but religion introduces the love we need to live togather
