The Barret M82A1 has been upgraded to several models, most longer and heavier, but their are also some "carbine" models as well (weighing in at only 12 pounds, as opposed to 20-25), and this family of .50 BMG firearms are quite possibly the most powerful firearms in the world, although not the largest, by caliber.

No. There are much longer and heavier firearms. The M-110 comes to mind. It fires a heavier projectile and has a much greater range.
