Why do Atheists constantly ask retarded questions?

Two things I guess we'll never have the answer to.

When God himself engraves an image, it's a little different.

Besides, things have loosened up a bit since 1500 BC.

People worship other idols today that are much worse than the ones they made for themselves back then (money, property, fame, sex).

Nobody except for Jesus and his mother ever perfectly kept the commandments in the past. Things are no different in that respect today.

That's the whole purpose of the new covenant, to eventually overcome sin, primarily by the power of God's grace, along with faith, and the assent of our own will.

Even non-fundies can do that.

Try it.

Yes it is a graven image but there's no wrong with that God commanded images to be done several times in the OT.

And the church still have religious images.
And we don't adore the images. As you don't adore picture of your relatives.

Why putting it up? Because the US is considered a christian country.
If you don't like this do not ever go to Italy you'd be scared as hell. ; )

Ever because that God despatched his son, Jesus ... who's likely a flesh image of a heavenly aspect ... and someone we can now fairly note of because the preferrred being ... the problem of idols and photographs immediately became passe. in case you fairly have problems with this problem, you want to rigorously evaluate 2 very severe factors: a million) each image, video, molded, die forged, forged, or in the different case shaped and shaped section, of each mechanical gadget, inclusive of autos and residential domicile equipment, qualifies as a graven image. 2) Jesus fulfilled and positioned aside each and each of the old regulations, inclusive of the commandment you cite. We new covenant Christians are literally not lower than the curse of the regulation. we are problem to the grace, mercy, and authority of Jesus Christ and his church..

It has to have a face on it for it to be a graven image; either of a human or an animal.

It is because they can't understand what secular means.

And by the answers given before this one they don't seem to know an Atheist is either.

Why do atheists have fits over public displays of moral ways of living? Is it because atheists have no morals and hate morality?

No, its written words. A slight technical difference.

As far as condemning someone for Idolitry, what is it that you love more than God? Money...nice car...football on Sunday over church. I know its something. Well, that would be your idol, whatever that thing is.

I think we need to put them up because people in public office keep forgetting them. You know like the ones "thou shalt not kill", "thou shalt not steal", "thou shalt not bear false witness", stuff like that. Politicians need it there because they're always forgetting those ones.
