This is my biggest problem in life! I find myself not being able concentrate all the time. But what hurts most is when i'm with a group of people and they are socialising and my mind jus shuts off and i'm just quietly staring in space and the rest think i'm a loner. But thtas not true. I think one of the causes of my day dreaming is playing on the computer for long hours everyday. I have to go on the internet or play games everyday, and i use it 10 hours a day. Please someone suggest ways to help me get off this habit of daydreaming all the time!

give yourself a break man, 10 hours a day it's too long for you, you need to know what is going on around your neighbourhood, go outside and meet some people, you never know what's around the corner, if you do this, you'll stop daydreaming, it'll be difficult for a while, but when you are used to it, you'll feel the difference on yourself that you're not a loner anymore, you'll be happier because you get more friends, i hope this helps. I recommend 1-2 hour day is enough for computer or gaming stuff.
Good luck

It might be AD(H)D or some autism spectrum diagnose, such as Asperger's. (Which does not make you a worse person in any way) Give it a Google and see if it might fit in on you.
Go see a psychiatrist too, if you feel the need.
But there could also be other things causing it, that you can change. Do you get at least 8 hours of sleep every night? Do eat/drink a lot of sugar or caffeine? (In forms of e.g. coffee, Cola or energy drinks)
If the answer to either is no the first one or yes to the second, you might want to give that a change for a week or so and see how you feel then.

You cannot cure daydreaming beacuse it is not an illness, it is normal. Your computer use, mabye not so much. Cut back on the computer time and up the friend time and the daydreaming should lessen in intensity.

Before: Keep yourslef occupied with other activities
During: if you can catch yourself, pinch yourself or distract yourself.
If you find yourself daydreaming while in a conversation. Make it a habit of repeating what they say in your mind. You will be preoccupied by taking in what they are saying and wont drift away as easily.
