I have recently started going out with this guy. We have an amazing connection, and he is friends with my cousin. However, we live 250 miles apart, any ideas on how to make it work??

Talk , talk talk and keep in constant contact. My - now - husband and I started out long distance and we managed to make it work.

it's hard, though.

You need to stay in constant contact with him and try not to be jealous and wondering what he is up to while you are not around. The long distance thing cannot last forever so one of you will have to move eventually. I know that that is a big commitment at an early stage in the relationship but it is something you will have to decide on yourself

Long distance relationships are hard to maintain. You can try by emailing, calling each other up, and when you two are free you can maybe meet up. But, since he's a good friend of your cousin's, then it shouldn't be too difficult.

I had almost the exact same situation with my man (now husband) I just transferred colleges to be closer to him. Only because I knew he was the one though. I probably wouldn't do it if I only "really liked" him. I don't know. Long distance is so difficult. Good luck to you!

try not to take anythign personally to reduce any potential arguments. its awful arguing that far apart and puts a horrendous strain on the relationship. Remind yourself in arguments do you want to be right or do you want to be happy. Good luck

i dated mine ld for 3 years, then married this march. if you think it is worth it make the effort, after all its only a 3hr or so drive. regular phone contact and the occasional hi text works wonders, and you can always check up with your cousin.

How to make it work? Move closer...most long distance relationships don't work. The key to many relationships is intimacy (and I don't mean bedroom intimacy)

If you went it to work, it is left for you to work it out. Love does'nt not know distance, colour or race. All the best.

Keep an open communication, call each other on alternate days if not everyday, always be there when he needs you for support.

ITS SO HARD TO HAVE A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE FOR ME ITS NICE THAT YOU ALWAYS SEE EACH OTHER TO KNOW MORE. BUT AS OF NOW THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS THAT YOU CAN GET CLOSER WHERE THERE ARE EMAILS , YAHOO MESSENGER, PHONES OR YOU CAN HAVE YOUR WEB CAM TO SEE EACH OTHER.
