That is something to think about.....For those who believe in the Old Testament, God wished he had never made man because of the violence on the planet before the flood.....So that implies that he was admitting error.
I think humans, in general and especially the religious, are really hung up on the word perfect. There are many meaning for that word and it seems like people are shooting for the meaning of flaw-proof, instead of what they should be shooting for, to be complete....
It really feeds into phoniness...Trying to appear flaw-proof...People just need to get real.

Perfection is in the eye of the beholder. If pain and sufferring and mistakes are not part of the perfection then we will see it that way pointing up to an imperfect God. We see imperfection only because we fail to see the bigger picture that tells the story of perfection. Jesus suffers greatly yet continue to see God's perfection. However, for most of us, a little suffering, well, blames this "imperfect life" to God.

I don't think God was perfect in certain aspects, for example, when it came to creating the earth.
There were alot of problems that came with the creation of the earth, and thus, eventually Jesus had to be created, as the old system wasn't working out.
This imperfection after creation also was the cause of the need for the flood.
We must acklnowledge that this was the first, and only , creation God done. And no one is perfect in the first time they make anything.
I think the perfection in God, comes from his ultimate fairness as the judge, father, creator and ruler of humanity. This I know to be true.

It seems curious that God, being a perfect being, would create an imperfect world around Himself. Maybe perfection is a little bit dull. Maybe heaven and earth need some conflict to add spice to existence.

The PERFECT God created man because He wanted our fellowship. But since he allowed man to have a free will and make decisions for himself, He (God) knew before hand that man would go against His will and thus sin and ruin the perfection of His creation.
At an appointed time, when enough people have, of their own free will, chosen to return to God, God will recreate the earth for the last time. The tempter (Satan) will be forever in Hell, NEVER to return and tempt any one ever again. And we perfected people will live on the perfected earth WITH our perfect God and Father.
So you see, there WILL be a time when ALL THINGS will be perfect. ;o)

And I suppose that if you go around saying that God is imperfect, He'll read your question here, ponder how much He's really screwed up the Universe, and then try to better Himself just so you can go one bashing on Him, right?

Take it from me, God is perfect, you just don't have the ears to hear, the eyes to see, the heart to feel or the brains to understand. Believe me, one day you will know.
