what is the difference between your child being photographed by a modeling agency and having your parents taking photos of you at your sports day. My children are only 3 and 9 months old, but by the time they go to school and have their sports day no one is telling me i cant take photos of them. Im a mother not a pediphile. I think that it is quite pathetic that they can take that away from a child. They will have nothing to look back on or show their own kids what they did when they were young. Shame Shame Shame on you. Why dont they concentrate on the real sickos out there instead of parents.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in taking pictures of your own children. Nobody says it's wrong and no one has the right to stop you from leaving memories of the process of them growing up. I had tonnes of pictures taken of myself during my childhood years. They are actually very interesting. I can also look at the things that I did when I was young and did not have any recollection of what happened then. So, continue taking pictures of your little ones!! You will only regret it if you don't do so, as you cannot turn back time. Enjoy motherhood & ignore the detractors!!

Just like good parents being harrassed by childrens services 4 having a fight in front of their child 1 FREAKIN' TIME!!! What about the kids who are actually being neglected, abused, raped etc... They are left for dead... Why cant the law focus on the real criminals and leave the good people alone? I dont see what the problem with wanting to have memories for your own kids to look back on... WTF is wrong with the world? I luv to take pictures of my kids having fun, doing new things... If we dont have pictures to remind us of all the special moments we shared with our kids then how will our kids know what they looked like or liked to do when they are grown? I say shame shame 2!!!

Wow, that seems pretty pointless to me. Why is it alright to have a 5 year old wear make up and pose like shes older for a beauty pageant, but its not ok to photograph your own child in a harmless way? I know someone mentioned this above already, but I totally agree. Some of the things that go on in this world truly does cease to amaze me.

I've never heard of anyone saying it's wrong for parents to photograph their children. All parents photograph their children, especially in their formative years. Those memories would be lost without photos to share when they get older.

Here in Australia, some states have made it illegal to take photos of children at sports events etc. because apparently some pedophiles had been doing it. I think its a pretty dopey law.

As far as I know they only have issues with you photographing your kids nude...if it's further than that, it's somethign I've not encountered here in Vegas. I take photos of kids all the time. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question.

Ignore those who tell you you cannot photograph your children. As long as you arn't taking photos for sexual purposes then they have NO SAY over what you do with your child.

So who told you it is wrong?? I have never even heard this before as every parent I have ever known took photos of their children. Why not tell "whoever" to seek professional help!
