In 2006, you are taxed 7.65% of your wages up to $94,200. Above that level, you are still taxed at a rate of 1.45%.

If you have two jobs, the $94,200 level applies to each, but you can claim a refund on the excess withholding when you file your tax return.

About 7 1/2 percent of your gross wages.
Your employer matches that, for a total about 15 % submitted to the gov.
