As Muslims, we believe in the Torah as revealed to Moses and the Psalms as revealed to David. The OT that exists today does not qualify for this recognition by Muslims because we believe and are told in the Holy Qur'an that they have been altered by the hands of man. Therefore, God revealed the Qur'an and promised to protect it from alteration. We do accept anything in the OT that agrees with the Qur'an.

No; Jesus, pbuh, or in Arabic Eesa, is referred to in the Quran as the Messiah, son of Mary. Muhammad, pbuh, is the seal of the prophets and messengers. The Qur'an is the actual literal word of God. Meaning it is not created. The Torah, Injeel, Psalms and the Qu'ran are the scriptures sent by God to certain Prophets to their nations. It is a pillar of belief in Islam to believe in all the prophets/messengers and the previous books. You would be right in your assumption that the Muslims believe in the Old testament if that Old testament is the Old testament that was sent in it's original form. The thing is, the Qur'an is the actual literal Word of God. And this is THE book and guidance for ALL mankind. Each prophet or messenger was sent to a nation or their people. BUT the Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, his nation was all mankind. From his time, to the end of time. That is why his message had to last and God swore that He Himself would preserve it.

The trouble about all this is that Human and God's Ideas have to be explained in Human Language. That is not easy as so many languages exist which mean slightly different things to people. Apparently there are many types of 'snow' to Eskimos which English doesn't have and many types of Boat in English which landlocked Nations don't have. So the best we can do is Human Concepts. The Concepts of Humility, Kindness, Forgiveness and Generosity are common themes in Jewish, Christian and Muslim cultures. Practise those are you will inevitable move nearer to your Creator and his purpose for you.

Muslims believe in the books of the previous prophets including the "Torah" which was sent to Moses, the "Zaboor" (Psalms) which were given to David, the "Injeel" (Gospel) which was given to Jesus, and the Qur'an which was given to Muhammad However, Muslims are told that the previous scriptures were tampered with by mankind and the Bible should only be accepted in as far as it is confirmed by the Qur'an. It is to be treated with respect, however any statements which clearly oppose those of the Qur'an are to be rejected as the work of mankind.
There are now more than 60 versions of the Bible(Different versions not translations The different versions of the Bible are not merely different translations, but are actually versions i.e. they add and remove things from other versions)
These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect
The Bible is a collection of writings by many different authors. The Qur'an is a dictation. The speaker in the Qur'an - in the first person - is God talking directly to man. In the Bible you have many men writing about God and you have in some places the word of God speaking to men and still in other places you have some men simply writing about history.

In order to be a christain you must first be a jew. In order to be a muslim, you must be a christain. The qu'ran from what I have read respects jesus as a prophet, but not as the son of God. that is where the question is unanswered in the nation of islam.
