Well, this isn't much to go on, hon, but the first, most obvious thing is to get help.

Life is sometimes very hard, for the young and the old, but it is not so hard that you can't get through it. There are better days ahead. There are also some hard days ahead, I won't lie to you, but you can make them worth the living too.

If you can talk to either or both of your parents, go to them first. If there is some issue there, try a school counselor to begin with. There may be another relative as well, a grandmother, or aunt, or somesuch, who you know has a good head on their shoulders.

It's important that you begin to talk this out and not just dwell on it alone. The step of finding someone to talk it out with is a really hard one sometimes, but you'll find that it will help you get perspective on what you're feeling and what's going on.

I wish you the best, sweetie. I have a fourteen year old daughter who has struggled with some emotional difficulties and some real ups and downs with school, friends, moving, and other things. It was hardest for her when she was twelve, but she's worked her way through it and, while sometimes she has bad days, she is certainly doing a lot better.

In the end, hon, you're going to decide that you won't give other people or circumstances the power to make you feel miserable, and you'll find your own way to give some more meaning, purpose, and fun in your life. But don't try to get there alone, please. Talk to someone, and best it be a woman. She'll be much more likely to understand where you're coming from and hopefully remember what it's like to be a young lady.

Take care. Life is hard sometimes, but it can also be wonderful, if you let it.

You already know the problem, you are depressed. Therefore, that's 1/2 the work. No you just have to get the meds that work correctly for you. I have a daughter that is 15 who has gone thru similiar feelings since about age 12. I think it's very normal at your age. You should seek a therapist that can help you thru this and don't worry about the cost. If you do not have insurance you can usually find any counseling center that will help you based on your income. There could be other issues besides being depressed or reasons that are making you feel depressed that they need to help you with. There are hundreds of different types of meds they can put you on, even a combination of different meds to get you leveled out and feeling better. Most importantly, just remember you are not alone in your feelings. I would venture to guess that most or at least many teens go thur the same thing you are going thru right now. It does get better hun. Go to the doc so they can help you make it easier during the hard times.

Try taking a Vitamin B complex stress supplement with a multivitamin mineral supplement and some protein powder in a drink. If this doesn't brighten your outlook, tell your mother or father about your sadness. Many thirteen year olds are in a difficult time of their life and the world does not yet make sense. If you don't require professional help, a balanced diet of regular meals and physical activity can help. On the other hand, a school counselor might help you talk about what is bothering you. You are more normal than you might think. 13 is a tough year.

listen honey... life is a beautiful gift. You need to go out and enjoy every minute you have of it.. because it does not last forever. Consider what would happen if you killed yourself. You would just be dead.. no more anything... do you really want to cease to exist? I mean.. yeah... maybe there is life after death, but where do you go when you kill yourself??? nowhere I wanna go...

Seek some counciling, maybe talk to your parents about getting on an anti-depressant... be happy, count your blessings... and know that you deserve to be happy, you are worth more than you know... being 13 is hard, I survived, so can you... and believe me, it wasn't easy for me AT ALL

Zoloft can have that reaction with some people, especially teens. Tell your doctor immediately, it's important. Don't think your inconveniencing him, he will want to know. You should be getting better not worse. He will probably change your meds to something else, that will suit your particular brain chemistry better. I know about these meds, they WILL work and you'll be amazed how good you can feel. OK Charley

Hormones. They will kick you when you're down. Listen, I know it's hard to believe but it does get better. Talk to someone your close to. Not a friend, because gossip spreads fast, but an adult. Your mother, father, aunt....anyone you feel close to. Let them know that you're very unhappy and have thoughts about death. You may think that what you're feeling now is the worst feeling in the world, but let me tell you from experience. Lying in a hospital bed with your parents crying because they thought you were dead is so much worse. You're loved. If you need to talk more, contact me. Take care of yourself, sweetie. You have an entire life to live and it does get better. Trust me.

If by wrong, you mean what is different than you, then nothing. I can't count the number or people who have felt that way, especially when in your teens. Heck, at my age life can sometimes still make you feel that way.

Without more specifics, it is impossible to know exactly what's wrong. While it may not help you right now, please know that most, if not all, of us feel this way sometimes. For me, I know that suicide is always an option, but if I ever choose that, I have no more options.

You may not know it, or believe me, but you ARE loved. Just may be hard ot impossible to see right now.

Try some simple yogic exercises. You need a teacher or good video which can demonstrate how you should perform these exercises. Yoga is better than any medication to cure your condition. Deepak Chopra of USA is one of the best Gurus of Yoga. You could locate his organization on the net.

Has your symptoms gotten worse since you started taking the antidepressant? If so do you know that they can sometimes work in reverse and make you more depressed? Please don't get discouraged. There are many meds out there and not all work on all people. Please talk to someone, a parent, doctor, someone and let them know what is going on. With all of the meds and therapy available you don't have to go through life feeling like that. Please ask for help.

Best of luck to you!!!

You are likely clinically depressed. They can make you feel MUCH better with meds like Wellbutrin, Prozac or Zoloft. Go to any doctor and tell them how you feel. They will help you right away.
