always listen but dont absorb the nonsense talks, it would make your head ache if you do.... talkative women are smart, yet irritating if they keep on bragging.. and also men should know how to respond not to offend the woman.. just pretend youre interested then after the date, forget abwt her anyways...

Listen and be interested in her.....You are on a date ou with her and probably you asked her out.....Noone forced you to be there and what is more you like this person.....
Listen and discuss with her.....respect is a good start...
