Try reading books. They will make you tired enough.

BTW, tv is more of a stimulant than a sleep enducing medium.

A radio is probably better than TV, because the light from the TV can keep you awake. Listen to something relaxing and positive. Try reading something light and funny to get your mind off of creepy things. Drink some milk or take some non-habit-forming sleep medicine 1/2 hour to an hour before bedtime.

BTW, what about your room creeps you out? If it's too dark, turn a lamp on low or get a nightlight or put a light on outside your bedroom and open the door. Lock all doors and windows that an intruder might use to get into your house or apartment, so you don't have to worry about that. Close your closet (clothes can look like scary things in the dark) and get rid of stuff that makes weird shapes. Sleeping with a pet in the room might be comforting. If your room is still creepy even after these steps, try sleeping in another room.

How about crankin up the radio and listening to what they're saying?
That will get your mind off of the scary thoughts.

The way I fall asleep is, I read something really light like an Archie comic or something. I'm asleep in about five minutes.. it drops out of my hand enough to wake me up to turn off my lamp and I'm GONE!

I bet sleeping with the lamp on would be okay too for tonight. If you can sleep with a tv on! Try turning the lamp down so it's dim, but light enough so you don't get scared.

Sweet dreams!

The thing to do is, take your pillow, put it--OMIGOSH, WHAT'S THAT THING LOOKING OVER YOUR SHOULDER???

Oh...it's just a gnat that landed on your avatar. Sorry.

So...drink some warm milk and put it under your head. Oh no, wait...put a pillow in some warm milk...no, that's not it either...ok--drink a glass of warm pillows and shake...it up...no.

Ok, cover yourself and go to sleep. Think of nice things! =D

You'll be fine. I'll send some good meditation energy toward you to send those monsters away.

Ever read Where the Wild Things Are? Well, they're all on vacation now--even the one that broke your tv--so don't worry; they won't bother you.
