The best thing is there are still a few indiginous Brits left here , the worst things are too many Immigrants , Legal and Illegal , too many Sponging on our social services , free this free that and moaning , and whinging , wanting more more and bloody more and generally screwing up our country ,aided by a Government (Government ??) that is dedicated to crawling and **** kissing anyone but their own countrymen , an army of Jobsworths , Thought Police ,Town Hall Bullies , and new Stealth Taxes every day. that is if you are registered to pay any tax at all .

Best thing? As an Ex Pat, I can assure you that I could not find one single good reason to go back there. Seriously, there is not ONE SINGLE thing I miss.
The worst? How long have you got? Let's pick a few.
Fat birds. Crap TV, The police, the government, the food, the climate, peoples attitudes to anything and everything, the complete lack of service, rapidly declining standards in all areas, speed cameras, and yes, you are RUBBISH at all sport.
I'll give Deirdre her point! At least it isn't America!

There is nothing good about living in the UK. The only thing I like are English people,. We have crap, weather, we have high taxes, the Government is trying against our will to make us "enriched" by being mulicultural. The roads are crap. We are full of non-white people who get all benefits but do not work. We encourage terrorists to come by giving them "nice" benefits. Need I go on.
I am off in two years to France, Germany or anywhere better than here.

What's great
Freedom (but not if the politicians have their way!)
That's why we don't take them and others too seriously
Our sense of humour. we'll basically laugh at anything and make a joke out of anything & anybody
Opportunity and believe or not we have the best sense of justice in the world. Try living in another country even in europe!!!
What's not so good
Politicians, Petty officialdom, the weather sometimes and high taxes. Property prices and perhaps lost the plot on migration? Even the migrants tell you so!

Best thing about the UK is the diversity of the land... we have mountains, hills, countryside, lakes, sea, modern cities, quaint villages, forests, marshlands, estuaries, plains, scrubland and desert (South of England). And we can have the sun splitting the trees or deep snow!
The worst thing is... I really can't think of anything particular to the UK. General things like taxes, pollution and traffic!

The best thing is the heritage and history cos being English is an honour and the worst is the bad weather like today, rainy and cold yuk! and the politics of course he he.

Best - the countryside and the naturally diverse beauty of it. The people and their deeply ingrained sense of fairness and love of animals. The pets the people keep - no other cat or dog in the world compares to these trusting, loving, well-behaved souls! Also the freedom to be different!
Worst - becoming Americanized and the politics that go hand in hand with that.

Our beautiful countrysides.
Some of our traditional foods eg Sunday Roasts, yorkshire puddings.
Our fighting spirit.
Many beautiful and scenic places in the UK.
Worst things:
Our legal system.
The NHS.
How we are a soft touch with immigrants.
Highest rate of teenage pregnancies.
The weather.
Our benefits system which often rewards the undeserving.

Worst - Politicaly inspired forced opinions from the supreme soviet, sorry government, What it costs just to live, governments determination to destroy the English, the war on those who try to provide for themselves, chavs, lack of respect for the old, lack of social cohesion due to many factors, overpopulation and big brother.
I'm niether old or English by the way.
