Hi I am Kenny, I don't see that you did anything bad.I have done the same thing myself. There thousands of animal being put to sleep because no one whats them. They never ask to be born and they end up at the shelter to be put down. They will never no the happiness of having alittle boy or girl to love them and play ball with them. They don't deserve to be born and then put to sleep. The whole things is very up-setting and brings tears to my eyes when ever i think about the ainmal shelters. If you want a good pet ,please go to the local animal shelter and save a life.

No, always donate to the animal shelters! In some areas there
are no animal shelters, and in other communities the shelters need to be expanded. People can talk for themselves when a fundraiser is needed but who is going to speak out when the animals need money for better care?
So, do not feel guilty and continue giving to the animal shelter. For that very day you may have helped pay for an animals care that
was just adopted.

There's nothing wrong with you. I also only donate to animal-realted charities. I think that people donate to whatever is closest to their heart. For some, it's people; for others it's animals. Look at it this way, if everyone only donated to people charities (on the belief that people are more important than animals), then there would be no charities for helpless animals.

I've never put any in it, not because I don't care. Just figured the employees put it in their pocket.

If you want to give to animals go to some place locally that has to care for unwanted animals and do something for them. Even if it's cleaning out the pens I'm sure they would like that. :)

nothing wrong with it, shelters need money too. the one guy made a good point about employees pocketing the donated money...this happens a lot :(

if you donate often you may want to look into exactly where your contributions go....for example people donate millions and millions to the United Way, but most of the money donated doesnt go to help people, it goes into marketing and paying salaries...its something like 90 cents out of every dollar doesnt get to people that need it (dont quote me on 90cent thing) but on the other hand a place like Christian Childrens fund most of the money makes it to those that need it....and CCF doesnt just hand out free money, they use the money to help educate and feed kids. this gives them the chance to pull themselves out of poverty without relying on free handouts their whole lives.

(yes i like christian childrens fund and donate to it, no im not even christian..its just one of the better charities)

No it's not wrong. People have thumbs and becasue of this they can take care of themselves. Period. if people would get off their dead butts and help themselves we wouldn't have to worry about it. As for animals they generally can't help themselves unless they are feral so giving money to animals is cool. Don't feel bad and Good on ya!

I think it is because we have to take care of the animals. They cannot work and take care of themselves. We are responsible for them.

No, it isn't wrong! No one can contribute to everything! Don't beat yourself up about it. Animals need help too.
