Same cause as bladder problems for pregnant women - the womb is stretched by the litter inside it, and that causes pressure on the bladder.

Move the litterbox to a more accessible place, or keep the cat in a room with the litter box (and a regular empty cardboard box turned on its side, with a blanket if you can; cats like to give birth in protected, sheltered places).

You can't prevent it, she needs to be hydrated. It's happening because the kittens are pressing on her bladder. Just make sure you have newpapers down on the floor where she is. You can even get some of those puppie training pads at your local megamart or pet supply store. They're not expencive and can really help to absorb the excess urine.
You should also restrict her to one room or area if possible, with baby fences or by simply closing the door to the room. That way she can't wander all over the house while in labor and pee everywhere.

Hi Ahmad, It's the pressure from being pregnant and the only way to prevent this happening again,is to get her fixed.Alot of cats and dogs are put to sleep every day and the #s are terrible. This is very day.Thousands and thousands put down because no 1 wants these poor little animals. If anyone is looking for a good pet,go to your local animal shelter and save a life.

My guess is that the kittens are pushing against her bladder. Just like when women carry babies. If that is the case you can't do anything about it. Once she delivers she should go back to her normal behavior. If she is actually about to give birth, like in labor right now, she is probably having contractions and when she pushes she is not worried about holding her urine.

contractions or pressure on her bladder. Just like a human. when we are close to term we pee alot more from the pressure of the baby. It's natural there is no preventing it.
