The wicked part is, these whacko christians who are into supporting israel are only supporting it because they think this will hasten the rapture - after which all the misguided, but oh so useful, jews will, according to these whacko christians, be condemned to hellfire. God's will and all that - the chosen people - but chosen for what, eh?
As to your point #3, these same supporters of israel still support bush - and he's a lying, mass murdering war criminal!
As to point #1, we homeschool and so know a few whacko christians up close and personal. they still use Noah's curse on his son to justify racism today.

you know, I believe the answer to your question is just some christians. I agree with what you say, those are excellent points that are not brought up- whether these are actually part of christian belief or not, these supposedly christian beliefs have led to all kinds of racism and injustice and people (the ignorant masses) historically accepted these interpretations, just going with the flow because as long as someone else was being persecuted, no one was focused on their sh.t. people think it is just history, but as you point out we're in that same ignorant era for the most part (america, that is).
But it is not the religion itself, it is something american in a way- canadian and french and african christians don't think like this, it is twisted, psychologically f-ked up ignorant americans (with the exception of some, one who posted here actually). but generally white christian fundamentalist americans...not so much christianity, from my experience. other people, who are rational, will tell you every group has good and bad people- jews, arabs, americans, etc. they are all just people who laugh, cry, have interests/hobbies, want to raise their familiy in peace..but americans are a media based culture, whatever fear is sold, they buy it. it's sad, we're not going to be any different in the history books than the 1930s germans.

Curse of Canaan, is from the Old Testament. Not just a "Christian" book. In fact, when Jesus came it nullified most of the laws and rituals from the Old Testament.
Holocaust? Boy have you got some researching to do. Hitler hated the Jews because of their involvement in WW I. He blamed them for getting America involved in the war, resulting in Germany's defeat. Also, the economy was in ruins, for which he blamed the Jews for. It had nothing to do with Christianity.
Third count I kinda agree with you. You may have something there.

Anyone who have to defind their "goodness" by proclaiming
another Entire Group "evil" is a primitive way of thinking.
When people believe this way, they miss the entire concept of the bible. I never really think the way above, I just know I have faults and so does everyone else. evil thinks its good and good thinks its evil. The only way to know which side you are supporting is to be humble and ask yourself "what if I'm wrong" and entertain the possiblity that you can be wrong. If you think you're right, you will never know if you're wrong. If you think you're wrong, you will always be right because NO ONE is always right. ps: not talking about humble Christians

There are stupid christians yes, but there are also people who use christianity as a cover, but don't believe in God.
You know over fifty million dollars has been stolen from christians in fake deals, by people who pretended to be christian to buy trust? You also know people use christianity as a cover to hide their own illegal religions?
Tis not to say the crusades were a good thing, but funnily enough, more than half the world was 'christian' at that time, so it makes you wonder how many of them really believed in God, and how many were merely furthering their own greed by raids and such.
Now, to answer your questions. =)
1) The story of Canaan was written BEFORE we enslaved the blacks. AND we don't even know if Canaan was black or not. He could've been irish for all we know. Well, no he couldn't, but he could've been a multitude of races besides black. We just don't know. If you're talking about those racist people in america who used the story of Canaan to try and convive themselves and others slavery was okay, then think on this: The REAL people who follow God's will, were the ones who smuggled them up north to safety. And, mind you, the blacks didn't rebel and overthrow their opressors, it was others who fought for their safty too.
2) *cough* *hack* Covered by my first statements.
3) I fail to see how it's okay to bless america but not isreal? Now it's YOU who is being racist. (See how easy I can turn your words around? Just as you love to turn christians' words around)
Mind you, If I bless isreal God WILL bless me. Just the same as if I bless germany or russia, or canada. "If you bless others so will I bless you, and if you curses others you will be cursed" Or something along those lines...
"You know, you know, God bless America"

It's not about the religion........it's the person......though often people use religion or interpret beliefs into negativity when in actuality that may not be the case. More times than not it is the person creating the prejudice....and/or negativity.

There is a lot of hate in this world, and a lot of people
use God and Religion as a means to hate and feel
justified in doing so.

The religion would be ok if it had good people behind it, its a way of life almost dead I fear, too bad all those bible thumpers sullied jesus's name by using dirty politics and discrimination towards other religions.

actually, the Holocaust had more to do with Hitler and the Nazi belief in Darwin's theory, where he pointed out that the the superior races would eventually get rid of the savage and inferior races.

Matthew 5:11-12
"Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
