marty- I thought God was supposed to judge, not you? oh wait..you mean you're only using your religion to justify your previously held arrogance, not as a genuine belief system? nah christians don't do that..

I will start with this: I do not and never have prayed for the end times to happen, nor a nation to be superior over another. Where you find an idea like this is rather odd. It could be from ignorance or an obvious lack of education. This seems to be that your judgment of Christians would be a reflection of your own repressed ideologies or hatred and anger towards others.
Maybe you should have a cool glass of wine sit somewhere quiet and try to relieve yourself of some of that anger and judgment you are lashing out at others with and find your true inner peace.
I have no anger for you and I am not judging you, but reading your question I see those negative emotions coming from you. Relax you need not feel threatened by others who believe in things other than what you do. It's OK. Everything will be alright.
I'm sure deep inside you are a good person.

Matthew 5:11-12
"Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Your question is quite perceptive.

The same religious fervor was used to justify chattel slavery of Africans--conveniently facilitating cheap development of North and South America for Europeans. Today, the Christian approach is being used to whip the masses into support for getting the oil underneath all those Islamists in the middle east, complete with self-righteous defense of an invented state of Israel and through the most violent means imaginable.

I consider myself to be Christian and I do NOT pray for destruction, end times or national superiority.

I pray for strength to see me through my husband's terminal illness, world peace, forgiveness of my sins and I pray for God to help people like you.

True Christians are taught to love others and we honestly want peace in the world. Any Christian knows about turning the other cheek and how wrong it is to make attacks on others (whether by thought, voice or action). It appears that you're confusing Christians with Muslim extremists.

Please do a little research before you make accusations against others based on your personal beliefs or grudges. To me, it appears you're hiding behind thinly veiled hatred and prejudice for people who believe Jesus is the son of God. Why does that bother you so much?

Who's prayers are you listening too? Hitler's?

We pray for the coming of our King, so justice and peace will be global.

We pray for a MINIMUM of those who take the mark of the beast, and a MAXIMUM of those who are saved.

We pray for a end to racism, and we constantly intercede for ALL the nations, not just america and isreal. We pray for Iraq, Iran, Afganistan, too, and pretty much alot of others. Course, we can't pray for them all at once, but recenetly I've prayed for China and Venezuala.

We pray for truth and knowledge to be poured out, for blessings and the making known of the enemy's works.

We pray for the homeless, the downtrodden, the poor and opressed. We pray for the rich, the leaders of nations, the ones in seats of high power.

We pray for love, kindness, acceptance of all people, we pray for the dismantling of bombs.

We DO pray for the end times to come quicker, because we know it will come, and we want to get it over with, and we want to be under the rule of our love, the Lord God Jesus, son of the Most High.

We CERTAINLY DO NOT pray for killing and murder, but for God's will to be done on this earth. And God certainly doesn't want to kill other's either, but being just, those who don' want forgiveness are only left judgement.

We want what God wants, and what God wants is in our best interest whether people believe it or not.

What christians do you know?!?! I've never prayed for violent crap like that... No real christian prays for violence and superiority here on earth. The christians that you've come across are probably some of the corrupt ones that make the others (the ones that actually try to be like our savior Jesus Christ) look bad... really bad.

Destruction:
I pray for the destruction of those who would destroy me or my family.

End of Times:
As a Christian, the end of times here means then beginning of much better times beyond.

One Nation Superior:
I pray for ANY nation who will aid other nations and help spread the word of the Bible to its people. Currently, there are no countries like that, so I don't pray for my or anyone elses country, other than it's prosperity.

Hope that helps. BTW, I am not a racist and only barely do I foster nationalism. I do, however, believe in Jesus Christ.

This is a bunch of crapola.

No one is praying for destruction but we're sure as heck not going to stop it. And you can bet that some nations are superior to others just as some people are superior to others because they're of sound moral character, are successful and aren't a bunch nerds.

Lack of imagination. If they believed in things like witches, faeries, druids and the like, they could come up with much more interesting things to pray for!

Long live the pagans!

It seems like you have the wrong idea of christianity. I don't know one christian, that prays for destruction. You need to do some research. You don't know "real christians!"

acceptance and understanding wouldn't hurt.
All creeds believe their way is the only way
There are so many different names for religion these days
Believe what your heart directs you to
and allow others to do the same
