Im happier now than in my childhood. My mother did a good job raising me by herself, and she always hid the fact that we were completely poor. However, I am always ashamed when I think back on how I treated her. I always got upset because I had to get my clothes second hand and never got any of the "cool" new gadgets. But now I do all that I can to help her out, in a since trying to make up for the hurt I must have caused her. So basically I am happier where I am in life now.

Security, them paying my bills if I had any. No worries about what's going to happen when to wake up in the morning. My family: my mom, step dad, sister, brothers and nephews moved away at the end of the year last year. They all live half way across the country, so I just miss having them here for me, literally instead of over the phone. If you're family is still around, be glad you've got them, don't hate them. Your family will always be there for you. Never forget that.

Not worrying about the burdens of life. As a child, I was pure and not by poisened life's BS. I really do miss watching cartoons, constantly eating ice cream, and playing with friends hours on end. (just to name a few). And yes, I would LOVE to have it again. Besides college, the best times of my life.

My grandmas Coke floats. She had special glasses and special spoons shaped like shovels but they were really straws. And she always had the popsicles stuffed with ice cream for us.
I really miss the lack of real parental figures.
Dad died when we were young.
Mom went off the deep end where she still resides today.
I miss my first dog.

Christmases where I still believe in Santa, having free time and weekends off, my Grandma who passed away, but mostly the feeling of security. I felt like Mom and Dad would always be there for me and part of growing up is realizing they won't and learning to take care of yourself.

I miss playing video games with my mom. We used to play the old Sierra games like the Quest for Glory series and it was so much fun and I'm sure it was educational, some way or another. It was a great bonding experiance for me.

I really don't miss that much of my childhood, it wasn't that great. We were dirt poor, but my mother tried her best. She is gone now, and I miss her more than anything. My life is a lot better now. I have a wonderful husband, a home, and a bi-polar cat, and a golden retriever. Life is great.

My grandma's stories. She always told the best, truest stories ever. I wish I could ask her more questions about our family heritage. Learn more of her canning secrets and how she could make the best tasting biscuits without ever measuring any of the ingredients. Find out why she never got her driver's license. God I miss her.
