I'm a Buddhist...........this is why i believe?

Buddhist believe in Karma & Reincarnation (Cause & Effect)
Our next life is determined from the things we do in this life (Good, Bad)
We try to find the ultimate freedom by purifying our mind from any bad thoughts....and by gaining ultimate wisdom...and achieve Nirvana
We achieve this by Meditation
Our religion never shed blood in the name of religion
We believe every living things has the same right to live and our religion is opposed to killing of any living being (Animals, insects)
We don’t believe that god can bring us happiness or ultimate wisdom...........it’s our mind which can achieve anything....so we don’t worship GOD
We believe there is heavens and many other worlds in the universe
they don’t have any power on us they are worlds like us but only higher than us
When we die we go there according to our Karma. Nirvana is a state of mind, Its not heaven, we believe its better than heaven. Its ultimate bliss of mind

The next life is decided by the energy (Karma)....created by our mind. Nobody judges It, if we have good karma...good worlds….. bad karma...we go to bad worlds...its like water flowing down....its the way of the universe

Thank you very much for sharing Buddhism with me! I don't think I' ve ever been taught it in a clear way. You're religion sound really great. We have some things in common too, I mean overall. That's what I think is so interesting about learning about different religions. Someday I wish to clearly know many. I have always been Catholic, born one, but don't blindly follow it. I took time and consideration and still do when it comes to what I believe in. I love my personal faith the best, because why I am influenced by my religions what I believe in I truly believe in because I have took lots of time to think and reflect about it. I love being a Catholic because it is Christianity which I believe in plus it give a sense of purity and desire to truly be compassionate and to do what you feel is truly right. It helps us analyze the Bible, yet put it into our own life and perceptions. Also when we pray together it helps build a better understanding of how precious everyone is, no matter who they are or what they believe in. It helps me better understand what life is for, and what I should appreciate and help.
Often we are misunderstood but honestly I think every religion is. We only believe in one God, who is a Father to us, a Brother to us, and a Holy Spirit which is like a concious telling us right from wrong. The Roman Catholic church is one of tradition, but still understands when it is time to change and that sometimes things aren't always what they seem. We have Saints that are like role models in which we respect, but they are not Idols that we "worship". Same with the Blessed Virgin Mary. She never sinned and was chosen by God to give birth to Jesus. In that we love her very much and we show her respect too. But we only know God as our God, he is the only creator, our Father. We believe that after we die we may go to heaven and someday we will have our body again (hopefully not all gross hehe jk). But the overall teaching is to live with compassion towards others and self respect for everyone including yourself. Most of all to keep your mind and heart open to everything, and realize that the most precious gift is unconditional love for everyone on Earth. "The qualility of unconditional love, to me is Divine Life."
So anyways thats all what I follow, don't know if someone is going to actually take the time and read this haha but anyways I'm proud to be Catholic and wish more people would respect us and everyone. I take great interest in the Buddhist faith because it sort of makes sense and has a really pretty way to go about it. I think in some parts yours and my religion collide in different ways, as do many religions, yet others are too proud too admit it.
God bless you, and may you and I someday reach Nirvana ^_^

Well done, for having such a sensible and meaningful religion! This is the only religion that has never killed people in the name of their Gods or whatever. It is the only religion that would never judge anybody for what they say, do, what they wear because they know that there's no point. We can't really judge others. Others judge themselves (without even knowing it) and they will suffer under the act of karma if they've done bad. It is really not upto us to tell other people that they are not good because they act in a certain way. Buddhism is a true religion in a spiritual sense. It does not threaten anybody with eternal burning or anything else. It actually helps build a better stronger mind for the person who practices its teachings. The only thing I don't understand is why female monks (nuns) have to cut their hair so short. I love Buddhism, but I do believe there are several Gods out there and they all help us if we just ask them. But I also believe that the Gods want us to meditate and better ourselves.

I'm Roman Catholic. My favorite thing about my religion is the seven sacraments. I've received four: Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation.
I admire that Buddhism has never shed blood for the sake of promoting the religion and I am sad that the same can't be said for Catholicism. I believe the Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and that it is through accepting him as my personal savior that I will go to heaven. I love God and my faith in Him has carried me through some very tough times in my life.

I am Protestant. Pentacostal Christian. I don't believe in any man made religion. Or changing the bible to fit another man's agenda. I don't worship idols or lesser gods and goddesses.
I believe in God,the Father, son and holy spirit.
I believe Jesus is God's word made flesh, so He is God. He is also the son of God, because the holy spirit overshadowed Mary, and she bore Jesus. I believe Mary had other children with her husband Joseph, and she is no longer a virgin, so I do not hail her or any other saint.
I also do not believe in the trinity. God is not 3 people in one, he is father, son, and holy spirit in one. All are GOD. I don't believe in transubstantiation. I despise false prophets, and don't believe that the Lord is coming for any specific religion, but for the ones that believe in Him, and know who He is.

well I've never had a religion to follow. Been through a few learning courses on different ones Lutheran, catholic,Jehovah whiteness but never seemed to "cick" with any of them.I didn't come from a religious family either,so I guess I haven't tought my own family any either. To just believe in your own heart and your own spirit of goodness and to always try to keep positive energy flowing from you,it keeps the evil away.

The Bible is the source of my beliefs. In its pages, I have discovered that we all are easily deceived, that we tend to put more faith in ourselves than in our Creator, and that we think we can be smart enough to save ourselves.

The Bible says that we all die once, that we will all be judged according to our lives here on earth, and that there is only one way to escape this judgment...faith in Christ Jesus.

The Bible also teaches cause and effect: Cause=sin. Effect=death. Cause=Faith in Christ's work on the cross. Effect=eternal life with Jesus.

My religion is just my personal beliefs. Like believe, that there's an underlying conciuosness to the universe, not nessicarily God, but there's something... the rest is all logic for me.

My "religion" ? I don't have one. My Faith is in Jesus Christ and Him alone. He brought me out of the darkness, into His Light. He IS the only way to Heaven, and there will be no other "gods" before Him. Thank You Jesus!!!!!!!
