i know what childhood bipolar is. i'm wondering what people believe it all entails. tell me your opinions, please. only serious replies. i don't care to hear from the childish twits.

It's hard to answer this question simply because childhood bipolar disorder is extremely rare. From what I understand it's also dicey to diagnose and many people feel that children shouldn't be diagnosed with a mental disorder before a certain age. The reason for this has to do with the idea that children's brains are still developing and changing so rapidly that behavior that would appear to be bipolar in an adult is often a reaction of some sort to external factors in children. Although it's very possible for children to experience depression, the brain chemistry involved in a true bipolar diagnosis is considered to not yet be physically possible for people under 16-17, and usually a little older, like the early 20s. This is the age when the vast majority of early onset or "lifelong" mental/emotional disorders are diagnosed. I hope any of this helps.
