How much our money here in the states cost over there?

Basically it's 40 baht to 1 US dollar so if something is 80 baht it's about $2.00. If it's 400 baht it's about $10.00 and if it's 4,000 Baht it's around $100.00. You learn to do it in your head pretty quickly, (unless you're a blonde), but the biggest problem is getting use to the currency, different denominations of bills. They are different sizes and colors but in a dark bar it's hard to see. If you're giving someone money they will be patient while you figure it out. Thailand is a wonderful country. Have a good trip.

Check the exchange rate with your bank or the travel agency. One US dollar is about 37 to 39 baht.
