When it comes to matters of the heart, if you're not willing to "embarass" yourself, even a little bit, then perhaps it is not worth it. On the other hand, you would be missing out on getting to know someone who may be a cool person. You'll never know if something's there if you don't at least try, regardless of what others think. There's more important things in life than being 'popular'. It really all comes down to what is most important to you in this time of your life.

This is easier for most popular people get it eazy now what you have to do is be a gentlemen a nice guy and go up to her and tell her that hi how are you doing and stuff start a conversation with her dont worry about getting embarrased is normal just be confident and be yourself but dont act like a jackass becuase if you do then you wont get her am popular but still cant get no girl i got a real bad reputation well anyways do this and you should get her in 2-3 weeks aight

wow what in incredibly shallow question. first off try to get over yourself a little and realize that popularity is stupid. where has being "popular" gotten you? if you seriously like this girl then it shouldn't matter. so stop worrying about everyone else and just ask her out to a movie or whatever it is kids do these days.... pff too popular...
