I'm 33, overweight, always low on energy (i get tired easily), don't have great eating habits, have trouble earning money, memory is not great and generally out of shape mentally and physically. I have three kids (1,5,7)and feel I can't keep up with them. Spiritually I also feel something is missing, but I don't know what it is. What should I do?

Get off your bum and go for a run!!! Stop moping around and get out there and make something of yourself, start eating right, sleeping right and getting enough exercise.

dude why did you let yourself deteriorate this way? you don't expect doctors to constantly help you when you yourself don't even initiate actions to turn things over for you.

The fact that you afforded to get married and have three kids at that means you are perfectly capable of surviving and supporting a family. All it takes is for you to figure out what is it that you'd like to attain in life, given your family man status.

First, you need to get a grip with yourself and start getting into exercise. The reason why you're low on energy is because you're overweight. Relatively, it deters your self confidence which hinders your productivity which is not good.

As soon as you get into shape, then your mental health will soon follow, as well your physical capabilities.

You should think of your children, your wife and their welfare because your wife did not take the vow of marriage so that she could attend to your self-pity attacks.

You need to act now before you feel sorry. Don't be part of the divorced statistics in your country. You have a family life that you need to take care of. And you have a family who loves you dearly.

You know, I felt the same way for awhile. Take 30 minutes out of your life to go for a walk everyday, no matter how tired you feel. Get a dog to entice you to go walking if you have to. Do this every day! Does not have to be a fast paced walk, just a steady pace. DO IT and you'll feel better I promise! You can always crash in bed afterwards, but at least you have done something beneficial for your health. Walking also helps you clear your mind and think about your life issues.

You are in a big slump and god help u there is no way out until u come to terms within your self I know that doesn't help but that is the solid truth. Your children suffer because of it also. I could say the usual but it would not motivate you only you can do that. You have to go back in time and find the person u lost and try to retrieve him. Until then you'll stay lost a good UPC church will help you get back your mental state and there you will find spiritually in the heart mind and soul. God has a way of taking us heathens and rebuilding us. But in the UPC Church you will find lots of activity and friendship to keep u busy. I'm not a christian but i love god and I know this church and all it has to offer. Good Luck Grandma Rosey

see aDr in case it is anemia, a bladder infrection or depression. try making a few diet improvements every month, instead of all at once, start taking the kids for a walk, they will enjoy it and so will you. Get pm a good multi vit.,Get back in church and live the way God asks you to and not just 1/2 way. Oh PS how long since you've had a good nights sleep? Where is daddy to help with the kids

Start by eating healthier and exercising. That should at least help with the low energy and the being out of shape.

It definitely sounds like you need to talk to your regular care doctor. You could have some physical problems that need fixing such as low thyroid levels or diabetes.

If all of that checks out with the regular doc, see a psychologist (talk therapy) and psychaitrist (medication). A lot of things are treatable these days.

Wow I hope you feel better soon! I would highly recommend going to a trained Nutritionist and talking with a local Christian pastor who seems approachable and down-to-earth. Our body, mind, spirit all play a role in the way we feel overall. Take care, for sure!

yes. seek professional help - a religious leader might be right, for you, if you lean that way; a psychiatrist, psychologist, or therapist, otherwise. these are all symptoms of depression. free or low cost therapy may be available through clinics in your area. try asking a reference librarian, or check the phone book.
