Went through the doctor stuff, had a sonogram and the doc said it looks like a small stalk of cauliflower (honest) and its probably nothing to worry about. He has never seen anything like it before.
It doesnt bother me unless I walk a lot. it rubs up and down over my bottom rib and really hurts.
Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Its very painful

Livers are not famous for "sprouting" growths of any kind that shouldn't be worried about - period.

Find yourself another gastroenterologist and have a liver biopsy done ASAP if not sooner!

Sonograms can't determine whether or not your growth is benign or not and neither can your doctor by looking at the pictures.

The cauliflower appearance definitely sounds like a tumor and you NEED to find out whether it's cancerous. The fact that it's causing pain demands further investigation and your doctor saying it's nothing to worry about doesn't ring true. He sounds like a quack to me!

If it is cancer and you may require a transplant in the future, the earlier you take action, the better off you'll be. Every year in the US, only 25% or less of the people waiting for a new liver actually get one - can you guess what happens to the other 75%...?

If it's painful, then I would think it is something to worry about. Find yourself a specialist.
