tell them to just go talk to a girl, if they like her, tell her...its difficult, i know that from experience...i asked my boyfriend out...and if they are worried about their appearance DONT WORRY...my boyfriend is 5 inches shorter than me, she has hair almost the same length as mine (mines shoulder-length) and i think hes adorable...yes some girls are going to look at you for your appearance or your reputation or how they think you are...but they arent worth it anyways so just be yourself and a good girl will come

First of all, recommend that they find a better friend than one who calls his friends, "losers". You sound perhaps like that type of person who gets his jollies by reducing those around him, even loved ones and friends, just so he can feel like "The Winner." Be a true friend, and these two guys will grow and find themselves in your decent and honorable reflection of them.

maybe change their image a lil from their "loozer" attire.
look clean.
and tlel them to take chances. it's good to practice. have them go up to random girls and practice. after awhile they will get used to it and be able to do it on their own.
tell them not to be fake. act yourself. even if it's a lil dorky. girls usually like a little dorky. but just a little. don't over do the trying to be something else thing.

I'm intrigued by guys who talk to me and don't seem to notice that I'm a girl. They just talk to me like they're talking to *me*, not a generic female.
Also, if they want to make a good impression, they should project that they're in a good, comfortable mood.
