Where'd she grow up and what was it like and what kind of student was she? Were the boys afraid to ask her out?
How did she hook up with Joseph, and what did she see in him. Was she already "with child" and did Joseph take pity on her?
Did he know she would be the Mother of Christ, and what was in it from him? Today his name is on everything from cathedrals to basketball teams, if that tells us anything.

Read the Bible and your questions will be answered. All women and girls worked in the home, serving the men and children. As for student status, they were taught in the homes and synogagues, so we wouldn't know that status...we do know that she was without sin and a 'wonderful child' to God. Arranged marriages were the norm then and she was already betrothed to Joseph at age 13, possibly earlier. After her betrothal she became with child by the Holy Spirit, for she was chosen for her faith and servitude to God to be the mother of Jesus. Joseph did not take pity on her. It was a horrid sin to be with child and not be married, Joseph knew she was a virgin and it wasn't his child, and he actually wanted to leave her and find a different wife. God spoke to Joseph and told him that he was to go ahead and marry Mary, for she was a chosen one and that he (Joseph) was chosen to be the child's earthly father. Mary also spoke with her family and then Joseph about what had happened. There was nothing in it for Joseph, except a good wife who gave him a good home and many children and obeying the Lord. Neither Mary or Joseph are saints, should never ever be prayed to, and anyone who wants to use the name of Christ to further a business or a sports team or anything else but a house of worship will answer to the Lord himself for it. Jesus is the one and only way to heaven. There is no other way and all statues are idols, which are banned in the Bible (if used for prayer or worship of any kind). The entire story is outlined in the Bible, so this question was unnecessary, since it's obvious that you are not illiterate, Sir. The fact this his name is on everything, as you put it, I think you meant Joseph, didn't you? If his name is used, it's no big deal, unless it's used in an idolatrous way. He was only human. The name of Jesus is sacred and holy and should not be used for anything but worship and prayer. The Bible will give you the whole story--I don't believe the Quran will.

So the stuff about her childhood, I'm not sure. But I'm sure you can find it in the Bible.
Here's the deal: Mary did not become pregnant until she was already with Joseph. An angel came to her one night and told her that she was to birth the child of God and his name was to be Jesus. She then became pregnant without sex or any sort. An angel also came to Joseph and explained to him the situation. How Mary was to have Jesus and all that stuff.
I'm not exactly sure why you would ask something like"what was in it for him" because no one could ever really understand the position he was in. I mean, if an angel came to you, what else could you do? And why would you do any different?

What do you mean girlhood? She was a girl then. Being under Sharia law, she couldn't do much. Seeing that she wasn't stoned, she must have been a good girl.
Re: Jones: How do you mean with Joseph? She was engaged to Joseph. That means they were not living in the same house. She got pregnant while living at her mother's house, by God's holy spirit.

Good thing "Joseph" and "mary" are on everything. I wouldnt like a name that says Osama, Jose, wakisha...those are non biblical names. The bible is the top selling book in the world. of course its on everything. This question would make a muslim mad if it was about mohammed. But christians rock and they would take the time just to educate you vesus killing you....
Who would date mohammed...Did he get head lice in his beard in kindergarten, did his girlfriend cheer for him on the basketball team. Who cares?
