What would you say to convince me not to kill myself?

Why do you have to be punished or rewarded for existing? What's wrong with living and enjoying it?

Because if you succeed you'll face God the instant you die. Absent with the body is present with the Lord. Do you want to explain to God why you threw away the life he gave you? He'd be really pissed off at you too. I'm not talking about dirty look or not speaking to you pissed off, I'm talking about GOD pissed off, imagine the kind of fury that would entail.
You might think this is the stupidest thing you have ever heard, but if you're miserable, go help other people. You need a purpose for your life and the most rewarding thing you can do is help other people. When you spread the smallest amount of joy you will get it back immediately. It's what everybody is talking about when they say that it is better to give than to receive. Don't think about yourself for another minute, think about what you can do for somebody else. If you're going to kill yourself anyway, why waste a perfectly good opportunity to make somebody else's miserable existence a little bit better.

Why bother with life?
The earth has been here for about 6 billion years and here is your chance to be on it for a lifespan of about 80 years and you don't think that's important?
Ask some little 6 year old with terminal cancer if he would have liked having the chance to live 80 years.
Life isn't "nothing".

NO,NO,NO,NO, you are sooo right. First...there is no simpler expression of heaven than being Rewarded by HE WHO CAME FIRST, having a very clear understanding of female emotion and male devotion. I implore you to seek the Greek of two very misinterpreted words. In my years on this earth, many times I've thought the same. One thing has made a difference that I always knew early in my life and that is I love people. I am always interested more in other peoples lives than my own; my wife occasionally reminds me that I have to balance. That is what you must do. Balance your life; their will always be bad and their will always be good, it's up to you to decide how to deal with it. If you look deep in your past I think that anyone that truly knows you loves you very much.

Killing yourself destroys those you love the most...life is worth living because of the experiences involved. Just because there isn't an afterlife doesn't mean that someone should want to quicken their death. If this is the only life we get, why not go along for the ride and enjoy it.
If you can't find enjoyment in life and don't have any loved ones to worry about...who I am to tell you not to kill yourself?

The condition of inteligent life is meaninglessness. You accept it, deal with it, and then decide to create your own meaning in your own life in whatever way you can. That is the true challenge of life.
Why do you need heaven or hell to give you a reason to live? Isn't life itself thrilling and exciting enough for you as it is? The mere fact of your existence is so stunningly improbable that you could spend a lifetime simply marvelling that you are here at all.

You have something now!!! That is what is so sad about religion. You can make your life whatever you want to make it. It can be your own heaven or hell. Why is there no value placed on this life that you know you have? Very, very, very sad...I am now thoroughly convinced that atheists live better lives!!

Why question it and take that chance and it be the wrong one and if you were gonna kill yurself what would yu accomplice ?JUST A MESS someonelse is left with to carry around for the rest of their lives.God is never supposed to be doubted so just go with the rule .Why do people always put on here there going to kill themself and bring God into it.Life brings us challenges we must face them .If your burden is to heavy share it with someone who cares a friend a neighbor ,youd be surprised they have walked in your shoes the same.

I would say you should think about what it is that gives you authority over the darkness.
But I know what's bothering you, you're feeling a bit off. I believe that the second declension masculine noun 'skotos' would be properly put in the genitive for 'over' hence [singular] SKOTOY [omicron upsilon]. That use for 'over' is used in Matthew 10:1 even though one might think it should be dative.
[But don't worry about it too much. :)]
