I have a question for my christian friends. Mahatma Gandhi did not accept Jesus into his heart as his savior. Does this mean that he has gone to hell, despite all of the good did?

Also, following that same line of logic, has Adolph Hitler gone to heaven? He was not an "ideal" christian, of course, but did accpet Jesus into his heart as his savior.

See, there's one problem with this question: Christianity and logic cannot coexist.

First off that isn't a call that any perosn can make that is between God and those people. But I wil tell you this you can't assume what is in a person's heart because of what they say. I have a hard time believing the Hitler really and turely accepted Jesus as his savior, with the way he acted. And you can't be like "Oh Jesus I accept you." becuase you know that will keep you out of hell and go do all of these deviant things, you have to a try to follow the comandments.

First do you know these mens' hearts?? You cannot. as much as the human part of me would like to be sure that hitler is in HELL, i cannot say, same(kind of) for Gandhi, his heart was his own, he and God are the only ones who knew it. It only takes a second to make a decision for Jesus.(or against Him)

Doing "good" doesn't do it. He died with sin unforgiven, God cannot allow sin in His Heaven, so there is your answer. Jesus said He was the only way to Heaven, was He lying or not, you decide for yourself.

Hitler was not a Christian, never was. In fact, Christians faced the gas chambers just like Jews did. He was an atheist, an occultist, and a proponent of evolution. Sorry, he's burning too.

How do we know what GOD may have place in Ghandi's heart? Only GOD will know where he is. As for Hitler, he professed to be a Christian, but Christian is not just a title you choose to call yourself. It is a manifestation of your actions. By his actions alone I am pretty sure he showed GOD his true heart and is probably smoldering in his own gas chamber even as we speak. I think God takes into account what you were raised to believe and will factor that in to his ultimate decision as to your afterlife. And he will also take into account the works you do in his name. I think HE gets pretty peeved when people murder , rape, plunder , and pillage and try to justify it by saying "GOD told me to do it"

Heaven is not reserved for Christians only. One go to heaven or hell according to his deeds that he has done in his past lives irrespective of any cast or religion.

unfortunately according to the christian mag brio that my mom got me, there was a whole article about this. Since gandhi didn't accept Jesus into his heart as his savior, he did go to hell.
