I am a Christian and have ALWAYS wondered this as well. I feel like when I am at church I am being snubbed and judged more than any other place I attend. I wish this wasn't so because I honestly believe that God expects me to go to church, and I will continue to do so because even though other Christians make me uncomfortable for some reason known only to God he does want me to go to church and associate with these people. I can't explain it. But I just do what God wants me to do because he is perfect and wise and even though I don't understand it, He does.

Ah, you have noticed that, too, huh? They will deny it, of course... they'll tell you "It's not me judging you... it's god. I'm just telling you what it says in the bible." What a hoot... built-in deniability.
Christianity is essentially a criminal business enterprise... in fact, it is the world's longest running and most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam. The product they are selling is the illusion of 'salvation'... and the 'pay plan' doesn't kick in until after you're dead. Meanwhile the victims (having been deceived into believing that it is their God-given duty) are out there busily recruiting MORE victims. What a racket! FORTUNATELY, it only works on those who are gullible enough, and sufficiently lacking in critical thinking skills, to fall for it. UNfortunately, THAT accounts for about 75% of the population of the USA. (There are a lot more people who DON'T know how to think properly than there are people who DO know how to think properly.) That is why there are a lot more religious people in the USA than there are 'Free-thinkers'... including Atheists. Also, Christians are generally too dense to realize that proselytizing (spreading the 'good news') is a key element of the Christian MLM MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after Christianity lost the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they obliviously try to just pester and annoy people to death, through persistent obnoxiousness. If you stop to think about it, you will realize that Christians are very much like the Borg, on Star Trek Next Generation: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." I would not be surprised to learn that thoughts of Christianity provided the 'creative spark' for the Borg concept.

You know that is a very good question. I use to be like that but i'm not like that anymore. But maybe i can give some insite to this. When I would read my bible and of course i would do everything just the way the bible said i was suppose to live follow the ten commandments and the sermon on the mount and then when i would see others that didn't live that way I wanted to show them the error of their ways. I didn't mean to be judging them I wanted them to know that they were doing things wrong according to God's law and wanted to tell them how to live properly. Later on I realized that I was being very judgmental with the people and had to learn to step back a bit and not try to fix things unless they asked me to help them. I had to learn this the hard way by going through a lot of humbling in my life. God had to put me in a situation that would make me humble so i could see the error of my ways because as long as things were good and I was doing exactly what i should then i had a bit of a goody two shoes attitude so i was put in a humbling situation for a very long time to fix my attitude.

I'm agnostic Catholic and not a Bible Thumper. However, I will say that when when it comes to God and Religion, people are judgmental because that's how they've been programmed.
Any number divided by 1 is defined.
God is supposedly in everthing
God would be the equivalent of 1
God would define things
The Religion that people embrace defines things. It's necessarily about Right or Wrong, it's just being defined that way using the Principles that the Religion has impressed upon them.
People who are extremely religious and rigid in their beliefs are taking offense to deviant thought that doesn't comply with what they've been taught. It creates discord. So the natural response is to try making things mold to your way of thinking.
You see the same thing in Car Accidents. When two cars ram into each other, the Shape of the first car is in conflict with the Shape of the second car.
Since both cars can't occupy the same space, that's how you get twisted metal as both shapes collide with each other and try to impress their form on the other. The crumpled metal from both cars is the end result.
Notice how with older cars that used thicker metal, they don't crumple as easily in car accidents. Older models will only have a dent while newer cars made of weaker material will get demolished.
Science is a lot like Religion and like Computer Languages. It's something programmed and based off a set of rules.
If I told you that 2 + 2 = 5, you'd think I'm crazy or wonder if I got dropped on my head as baby. If I started arguing with you about it passionately, your bewilderment would turn to anger. You'd start to think I'm mentally retarded because everyone knows that 2 + 2 = 4.
The way you'd exhibit annoyance and anger would be because I'm challenging your "Mathematical Belief System" that was impressed upon you since childhood.
You don't consider it as Mathematical Brainwashing. You just accept it as Truth and you've never questioned it. So when people deviate from that Mathematical Logic, you naturally correct them.
That's what Religious People do. 2 + 2 = 4 for God. When you go around telling them 2 + 2 = 5, that rubs them the wrong way. You're messing with their Mathematical Spirituality.
We all have our buttons or hard lines that we refuse to cross. In Cyberspace, people are much bolder and more outspoken with their opinions because there's that veil of anonymity.
So you've got atheists antagonizing and rattling Religious Believers, and Religious Believers trying to impress their ideals on others who don't conform to their beliefs.
Smart people have the Intellectual Resiliency not to be shaken if their beliefs are challenged and they also know how to diffuse any bombs dropped on them.
One thing that a lot of the Religious Believers don't realize is that when they quote Scriptures, they refer to Numbered Verses. They don't realize that the Numbers actually have significant meaning.
The Bible was set up so that every 7th Character when strung together predicts the Oklahoma City Bombing, Hitler, and the Two Towers.
If the Designer of that individual could create text that could pull something like that off, it means there's Complex Math integrated into that Religion.
That's why it shouldn't surprise Religious Followers that the Bible unlocks to have a hidden meaning when you apply a Mathematical Decryption Code to it.
That's how you can Religious People that are reciting things, but they don't understand the underlying meaning of what it is they're saying.
With that in mind, that's why people who embrace the Bible and its Scriptures should be careful on how they try to impress their ideals or beliefs on others.
That's why it's so important to have a well-rounded education in Philosophy, Psychology, Business, Natural Sciences, Physics, Law, and Math. You need to have those reasoning skills so that you can interpret things and not just go by rote memory.
People who regurgitate what they read in the Bible are going by Rote Memory but they don't understand the Formulas.
You can memorize the answers on a Test, but if you don't know the Formula that was used to reach those answers, it's useless to you in the long run because you don't understand the concept.
A lot of the stuff in the Bible is from an outdated Operating System. It's like running Religious Windows 95 with all its bug problems when they need to upgrade to Religious Windows XP.
For example, the Bible says it's okay to sell your Daughters. That's a wee bit antequated if you ask me. If that portion is outdated, there's a high probability that other sections of the Bible that Religious People embrace may also be outdated or no longer feasible.

In my opinion these people are just bad communicators. I believe most of their hearts are in the right place and that there are few who mean actual harm.
Most of these people are trying to convert others; not having good people skills they figure they can shock or scare others to "get help" and seek God. I don't think they realize that they are actually a put off and scaring people away. In church they are told they will be shunned and persecuted for their beliefs, so I think that when people react to them negatively they just assume it is because of their religion and not how they come off. Unfortunately, many of these people are prideful and defensive instead of humble as their religion calls them to be, so the chances of them listening and changing is slim. This is sad because they feel they are really trying to please God and do what is right.

Sadly, that is true. But I try to remember the verse in the Bible that says you will be judged by the same measuring stick that you judged with. That puts me in my place in a hurry because I already have enough to answer for. Everyone should be the same and the world would be a better place to live.

We were created in God's image, we are inately like him, one day there will be a day of judgement and God will judge us. He judges us, we judge eachother. It isn't right, it just is. Don't worry though, none of us will be rewarded for our judgement of others. Christians are supposed to live right and witness to others when the opportunity presents itself, not go around wearing it on their sleeve. The bible says not to cast your pearls before swine.
A lot of Christians need to shut their mouths and wait for the RIGHT opportunity to HELP rather than judge others, they butt in and close the door to God just as it's beginning to open. It's unfortunate but that's the way people are, everybody seems to want to be superior to everybody else.

and which religion is that? Certainly you are not referring to Christianity which states, "Judge not lest you be judged." Because I know that if you were referring to Christianity you would have read that in context with the other teachings Christianity gives on judging, such as, "Pull the beam out of your own eye, so that you can see to pull the splinter out of your brothers eye." and, "Do you not know that you shall judge the whole world?" As well as many others.
The Christian teaching on judging is that a Christian should look at themselves before they make a judgment on another, and then judge in truth and love.
Unfortunately many Christians fail to do that, just as many secularists who preach tolerance, are very intolerant of those who have a differing opinion than theirs.

Maybe some people take what is meant as advice as judgement. I know people don't always want advice, but when it could save their eternal life, I'd rather give it than not.
I have said before that when a Christian tells someone of Christ and they reject Him, then it is on them...but if the Christian does not do their part by sharing the Gospel, then it is on the Christian for not doing what is asked of them by their God.

thanks , thanks thanks!!.. i'm also a christian and that i have been having an analogous type of thoughts. Christians favor to sit down back and ask "why, do not they trust? or why do not they want to be christians".. properly take a lengthy seem interior the reflect and also you may want to get your answer. some christians are starting to be so judgemental and holier than in spite of the reality that that, they themselves are pushing non believers away. We stick our nostril up in any respect who do not trust and those that are lost as if to assert we are more beneficial effectual, even as in turn we ought to continually be more beneficial loving and compassionate in the route of them and pray for them.
