This kind of a messed up deal.My boyfriends exgirlfriend has 7 kids, 1 of those kids belongs to my boyfriend.2 of them are twins. All the kids have a different daddy.I will add this now before someone gets the wrong ideal, she had his son long before I got in the picture. His son is 12 right now,him and I have only been together for 4 years. Now for the rest of the story.Ok,today my bf got a call from the oldest son of hers (which he don't live there anymore)and told my bf that the Child Welfare came in yesterday around 3pm or so,the mom ran off when they got there, they took all the kids from the home including my bf's son.At this time,we still have not found out where they took them to.The hearing will be in 4 days.My bf wants to try to get his own son in his custody and keep him. What all happens to the kids, the courts, and everything? What can we expect to happen?I know that I can't be in it as we are not married.I just want to know what to expect? What all happens now?We live together.

I also know that she and her bf has been doing drugs in the past so I don't know if this has anything to do with them taking the 6 kids that were at her house or not. It's just my bf wants to try and get his own son back with him. He does have his son's bc as well. We just want to know what all is going to happen. I hate the ideal that his son will be up there all weekend and can't even get him out. I don't even know if he even can get him out.As this question is answered,if any body wants to know anything, I will try to answer the questions if I can, as we don't know all the details as to why the kids were really taken to start with.

Since welfare came and took the boy as long as he can prove that it is his son the court should have no problem letting him have him. He will have to prove that he can support him and take care of him. I would say that since the mom ran out when welfare got there, then most likely she will not get any of her kids back. Most government agency's try to place children with relatives if at all possible. I hope that this helps you. Good Luck with the court hearing.

If your bf wants custody of his son, then he should go to the hearing scheduled in four days and bring a copy of the Birth Certificate in his possession. Your bf would be the first person looked at as a possible custodian after the mother.

Right now they're in foster care. After court, your boyfriend may get custody so his son would come live with you. If none of the other fathers can have custody, the rest will go into foster homes or group homes depending on their ages.

This is assuming the mother is found unfit, otherwise they'd just go back with her.

This is a horrible situation, and I really feel bad for the kids. Your boyfriend should get a lawyer right away if he wants to sue for custody of his son. The lawyer can give him information he needs. Things are different in each state, so I really can't answer your questions, but a lawyer in your state should be able to answer them.
