What is there to break up in the circumstances you described? Doesn't sound like anyone is committed if it isn't serious and you only see each other one month out of the year.
You don't have to end the friendship, if that's what you mean. Stay friends, but also develop a more serious relationship with someone who isn't long-distance.

Well if it's not serious then I don't think it's worth your effort...sorry. If he's not committed to you then he's just going to go out and screw you over behind your back, which will in the end cause you more pain. Find a local guy who is hot, nice and appreciates you.

Um, are you me? No, actually,i was in the same boat. he was the most hottest person and the sweetest. He was like my best friend with benefits. He had to finnish college for another 6 months in FL (in in DE) and called me everyday and saw me once a month. I broke it of after i met someone else and i married him. But i still think of him almost everyday 6 years later. Yes, he was that hot.

I think that you need to decide what you want. Most people need more out of a relationship then some one that is there for only a month each year.
