Yes, sometimes I use a fan. The worst is when I'm camping in the middle of nowhere and the deep silence makes the ringing seem even louder.

What I experience is a high pitch sound, similar to what you hear when you get your hearing tested by a doctor. Usually occurs at night when I'm trying to fall asleep. Can be very bothersome at times.

i only hear it when i've stayed awake so long i have a headache and i go to lie down to try to sleep but i can't because of the headache and the ringing.

for me its really subtle.. i barely notice it unless its dead silent... but i think it comes from hearing loud noises alot.. it ruins your ears..eventualy leads to deafness
