I'm looking for a straight iron that REALLY straightens. I have one that does the job, but I want it to be pin straight, ya know? Any brands/suggestions/products to help me out?

The best you can get in the Chi. Always stick to a one-inch plate. The larger ones are sort of clunky and awkward. If you don't want to spend the money for a Chi--go to Sally Beauty Supply. They have some really nice ones. The Titanium Tools one is very nice and decently priced (about $50.00) and has velvet on the outside so you don't burn your fingers.

Don't try any cheap brand you will be disappointed. If you have a good one try taking small one inch sections to straighten. If that doesn't help you then you should go to the Sally's Beauty Supply and get one that is one inch width, because the smaller ones heat faster and stay hotter longer. Make sure it is a ceramic surface that can heat up to 400 degrees, the hottest. All electrical appliances can cool off with use so if you feel it cooling off then set it down and let it re-heat for a couple minutes.

I like the Solia flat iron. It straightens well and is made with Tourmaline...a stone that causes less damage than even ceramic plats. I've heard that although CHI irons work, but also that they break easily and do more damage.

My sis has a Conair iron and its not worth the $$. Plus, it gave her bad split ends.

GO WITH A CHI!!!!!!!! OMG Chi is the best! Of course u can only get it at hair salons and stuff...and its expensive...i got mine for uh...$100....so yea..but it makes mine pin straight, and i have wavy hair that does not listen to me at all. I also suggest that you get AG set it straight straitener. it makes your curls look nice when you dont feel like having to stratiten. Also, get CHI products. Like CHI hair infusion. etc...
