No. Athiests and Agnostics follow a moral code because they have respect for themselves and others. Religion has nothing to do with it.

I wish I could say yes to your question and tell you that you could do whatever you want to do. In fact, you are free to do what you want in life. Religion does not control your life, it just give you a guide line on how to live humanly possible as you can. It is all about your right to live and allowing others to live. Religious Laws that have been written may sound an order to you but actually they are not policing you like the laws of your community. You are given a free will and you can do whatever it is that you want. Only be reminded that for every action, there is always a corresponding reaction.
Whether religion is true or not or even if it does not exist, there will always be something for people to bind themselves together to protect their interest as a community and a society. False teachings or false informations are also found in the government politics throughout nations histories. And most of the time we follow the government orders with more fear than the church's order.
There will always be false teachings and it just happen that religion has been use as the best channel to deceive people.

but of course it's false, it's based on a human arbitrary system, muck akin to these levels(ever read The Inferno?), why did I spend 5HOURS answering questions(some guineley engaging, then i relalized i had to answer the easist, the most ignornant) to rack pointas, so i did. Yet. I accumpulated the requisite number of points to advance to level 2, (does any one see a circlehere, and it aint no crop circle) although i'm sure there would be a 10 question acheived if i knew the correct galaxy that sent the artistic aliens that so humbly design theses agriculticural mona lisa , but, alass i can not. Yet, i hit the # of points yet i have not been advanced. pergatory, baby. Read Dante, he believed. Good luck. i suppose this game/formerly like TRIVIUL PURSUIT online iswhat reality shows are to reality. By, the way idon't use spell check, i would/will/did when there is integrity, that's why i have a secretariat. Second part of question, of course, bliss is ignorance. bye

This is an excellent question.

I find that people who rely on religion for their moral compass often think that non-religionists are, by default, advocating moral decay. The opposite is more like the truth. Read the autobiography of Ben Franklin, 'The Age of Reason' by Thomas Paine and other moral treatises to understand that moral living is separate from religion, and can be much more clear, demanding and an invigorating way to live.

Thanks for being so perceptive and putting to words what worries many people.

what religion has got to do with doing whatever u wanted.
look buddy, first of all consider urself as a human. and as long as u do things that don't harm other humans or any animal just for the purpose of ur amusement, u can do any thing u want. if u harm others, u know the punishment. go behind the bar or get urself hanged.

No. We still have responsibility to our fellow human beings. Atheists do not "do whatever [they] want;" they are often humanitarians and live by the Golden rule. Morals can exist independently.

I am also sure that laws will still be enforced.

Few people in western countries take much notice of religion, they are more interested in shopping and they have devised a system of civil law to take care of your concerns.
If you want to live under some sort of religious law you will have to go to a country like Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia.

Yes you can, but people will still kill you if you pose a threat to them.

Our society is set up to enforce order regardless of religion, because we value order regardless of religion.

Only if it is the right things, Something like karma exists whether we believe in a religion or not, all the things you do, will come back to you, good or bad, you will reap what you sow, this is a universal law, not a religious law.

Some religions are false; one is not. Either way you can do whatever you want. Just remember that for every action there is a consequence.
