It depends on individual. There is no right or wrong in any case but whether will you trust him again in future. if you have lost your trust in your bf, I think the relationship will not last for long and it is a matter of time that both of you will break up. I think I would not tell him the real reason but will tell him to reflect on his own action instead. Once you have said these to him, I believe he will get the hint. If he tell you he dun know what is the problem, then tell him the truth and let him wake up from his dreams. Be brave and move on with your life. There is better guys out there.

I would confront him and want details. And I would make my decision upon leaving him or not based on his story sounds truthful and forgiveable or not. I did use to think that I would instantly leave someone who cheated on me once and never go back. But I've become aware of certain situations that cheating happens in and if I found the guy worthy of forgiving and staying with, I would give him a second chance. Hasn't happened to me yet though.
