Lack of imagination, fear of too much color, not wanting the color of the walls to conflict with furnishings. Many reasons.

Why would someone go into a room where they feel the walls are coming out at the? Muted tones are more peaceful; they don't say "Look, here's the wall!"

cheap & bad paint=behr, glidden, dutch boy, olympic
good quality paint= sherwin williams, benjamin moore, pittsburgh, zinsser, restoration hardware
