IF something as simple as bouncing when you listen to music makes you feel better, why do you want to stop?
It is simply a habitual compulsion, and if it isn't harming you or interfering with your life, then why worry about it?
Breaking a habitual compulsion is not easy, but can be done. Many different methods are available for all sorts of compulsive habits.....most people simply stop the behavior when they find themselves doing it or wanting to do it.

Sounds like a comfortable habit you have like someone suckin their thrumb, everyone has some kind of habit from childhood even if they don't want to admit it. If you think you need to stop then just like breaking a habit like smoking you need to first be aware of what you are doing at the time you listen to music, you need to retrain your brain to do something else like shaking your foot to the beat. You don't however want to trade one habit for another so you need to be carful with that.. Start by having someone there to talk to you instead of bounce. It gives you something else to do plus your mind is busy and won't worry that you are not bouncing.

my mother does the same thing. when she hears it, she just has to bounce. she's always done it. i know it's just not a dancing kind of bounce, or else you probably wouldn't be worried. but your body is feeding off of the endorphins it produces while bouncing. it's not damaging or a danger to your health in anyway, but supplying a good amount of b12 may help to subside it a little.

wellll....hmmm...I am sure it can be soothing and helpful when you listen to music...Your parents could have stopped you but since they didn't....they probably thought it was tooo cute that they didn't want to stop that. (But it's really not healthy) I really don't have the say...you know?? The better explanation for that would be obsession/compulsion behavior. IF you do see a counselor or therapist now, maybe you can bring the subject up to him/her. They probably can help you.

Unless you bounce so hard you break the springs in the couch, I don't see a problem.
Of course if it annoys your sweety to the point they leave then you need to get it under control otherwise we need more info,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Everyone develops habits that soothe them. There is nothing wrong with it. Some people like rocking in a chair, watching TV, smoking, having a drink, etc. Your very lucky it soothes you and relaxes you and you don't have a harmful habit.

its a habit that can be broken. its like when kids suck their thumbs and no one stops them. i knew a girl that sucked her thumb until she was 9, then she finally stopped cuz she used to get teased about it. she had enough will power to quit. and its comforting, thats why you feel better when you bounce, cuz its always made you feel happy or whatever.
