I know what most(Matt.7:13) religions believe; their just following the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church(Rev.17:5).

Jehovah Witnesses believe Jesus died Friday and rose Sunday, the coming kingdom is going to be here on earth, doesn't believe in blood transfusions, doesn't believe in birthdays or pagan holidays such as New Years, Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

Seventh Day Adventists believe Jesus died Friday and rose Sunday, they believe in the Trinity, they believe going to heaven; they believe Elijah and others are in heaven, they believe death is called a sleep, they believe in the clean and unclean meats, but practice vegetarianism, they don't believe in the pagan days they say but I believe they do-I was one for 6-1/2 years and I seen alot of things change in the church. They believe the Sabbath Feast days are done away with, but do keep the Sabbath Saturday Holy! They believe the First Beast is the Roman Catholic Church as the second beast is the United States.

do you want everything or are you just talking christian religions? There is buddhism they worship buddha and believe in reincarnation and karma. There is hinduism they believe in reincarnation. There are pagan religions such as wicca. The believe in God and Goddess and white witchcraft. There are other pagan religions also but i can't remember them all. There are muslims and islams not sure what they believe. Their founder was mohammad. There is Jewish they don't believe that Jesus was the messiah and are still waiting for the messiah and they have very strict rules to live by and don't eat any pork. There are catholics. They were the first organized christian religion they believe the pope is infalable and speaks directly to God. They believe that once someone dies that its possible to go directly to heaven but they also believe in purgatory. There are several other christian religiions called protestant religions because they protested certain beliefs of the catholic church and thought the church was wrong. The episcopalian or anglacan church was formed by king henry the eighth when he left the catholic church so that he could get a divorce which is not permitted in the catholic church. My fiance likes to refer to epicopalians as catholic lite. lol. Ok there are the baptists. The don't believe in baptizing infants they believe you shouldn't be baptized until you have been saved and they believe that once you have been saved you are always saved no backsliding. There are several different types of baptists but i don't know all the different things about them. There are southern baptists and old regular baptist and a few others that i can't think of right now. There is the methodist religion i can't remember exactly what they believe now. They seem very ritualistic like the catholics but i know there is some difference somewhere. There are presbyterians they believe in predestination. There are pentocostals. They are the liveliest bunch they believe that you can backslide and have to be saved again once you ahve backslidden and they also believe in speaking in tongues. there are the mormons they have an additional book they believe in as well as the bible. There are the jehovah's witnesses they are the group that always show up on your doorstep at the most in opportune moments. The do not celebrate holidays not christmas or bdays. I'm sure there are other religions that i can't think of or don't know much about but that gives you a bit of an idea.

I think it will be best if everyone describes their own religion.

I'm a Solitary Eclectic. An Eclectic is a person who follows a mixture of beliefs whether they are collected from the 5 major religions or from the pagan religions, or sometimes parts Atheist or Gnostic beliefs and they incorporate them into their own belief system.

I'm considered a Solitary Eclectic because I practice my beliefs alone by myself.

You can find a short version of my belief system in my blog.

Religion : Islam

Beliefs:
1- We belive in one God, only one who created this universe, who alteres the day and night, who makes the rain pour from the clouds to wet this dry earth and grow the plants, tress and grasses on it., who makes the sun rise in the east and set in the west. who created me with all the complicated mecahnism of life going inside me, my breath and life would stop once my small heart stops beating for a second. If he wishes he can stop it or he can leave until he decides. If he didn't decide then I wouldn't have been born to my parents.

2-We belive that this God doesn't have a partner and he doesn't need one. We can pray to him straight away. He doesn't need somenoe in the middle to carry our prayer to him. He is close to us when we are close to him, he sees and watches all our doings in the light or in the darkness. He answers our prayer without giving him food, money or anything. He just need our confirmation that he is the only God. He never asks us our money or children or anything. He forgives everything other than setting partners wtih him.

3-Our holy book is the Quran which is rvealed in Arabic language, this book which guids us throught our life, this is the cataloge of this life, how to live, the purpose of life, how to enjoy, how to die, the day of judgement, and all the other details and secrets of this life is in there. We belive in all the books revealed to the human being. we believe in the original Towrah, Injeel which were not changed by their followers (Christians, Jews) and we believe in Quran the last book sent to the human being from God until the day of judgment.

4-We belive in all the prophets send to the human benig from Adam (peace be upon him) to Mohammed the last prophet. We belive in Yaqoub, Jesus, Moses, Solomen, Yusuf, Abrahah and all the other prophets who have been mentioned in our holy book Quran and who were not mentioned.

5-We believe that there is a day of judgement where every soul will be rewarded or punished for his own doings, no soul will bear the burden of other soul. each to his own deeds and sins. This gives us confidence to face all the problems in our life, we suffer since we will be rewarded, we enjoy in the limits given by God for which we will be rewarded also.

6-We belive that all men & women are created equal there is no difference between a
rich/poor, women/men,black/whit, minister/politician, exept in their degree of their submission to this God. So everybody is equal and only who is closer to this God is better than the other. So we don't have racism based on the casts/color/religion.

7-We belive that this God runs this life. He has showed the right and wrong to his people. Those who go straight get reward and those who go astray get punished either in this life or hereafter.

8-We have seperate rules which controls the normal life of a person: marriage, divorce, parenting, worships, financial issues, punishing the criminals, trading, business, wills..etc

Evangelical Free - believes in Jesus, son of God, only way to heaven is to believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and you must believe in him and ask him to forgive your sins and accept him as your savior. Read the Bible and pray in Jesus name.
