I read that somewhere. It said that the alcohol causes you to not go into REM sleep and that's why you're so tired after drinking, even when you sleep a lot.

Most likely true. REM is a "light sleep" that allows the brain to actively "think" while asleep, thus the "Rapid Eye Movement" while your dreaming. Being under the influence of alcohol would most like disrupt your sleep cycle and place you far to deep in sleep to dream.

i imagine because its a relaxant, and the eyeballs are moving like crazy during REM and the alcohol relazes ur muschels even in ur eyes so they dont jerk in every direction that fast like if u weren't drunk

Drinking doesn't make me tired.
I get sh*t faced and still wake up at 8 every morning with no hangover symptoms or problems at all.
