Depends on what kind of phone you are using.
If your using a house phone you have to have a long distance
service provider or use a service.

Dial 1 + the area code +the number
if you do not have a service provider:
Dial 1010220 +1 +the area code + the number.

if your on a cell phone just dial the area code + the number
