Yes i was married to a military man, if u love them u wait..waiting a year for a man that u could possibly be with for a life time.. in retrospect isnt much, but if u dont love him, or he doesnt love u, or ur just not at that point in ur relationship.. then id have an open relationship basically u both communicate and u bascially promise urselves to each other, but u do what u want with whom u want till that day comes, would suck to waste a year on a "maybe".. for both of u

Honestly...I wouldn't, but only because my sister is married to a guy in the ARMY and, i see how much it sucks to not have that comfort there by her...like girls like to have someone there to hold her and to kiss her and you kno...and with him gone, she's not happy at all, and worst came to worst and he cheated on her, and vise versa...and the only reason they cheated on eachother was because everybody needs that one person they can ALWAYS lean on, and reach out and kiss...and when you don't have that, it's hard not to go look for it...and i wouldn't want to put myself in that situation...especially when i already know it hurts...it's hard enough being away from my boyfriend for the weekend...lol, i dont' think i could do it for a whole year, and also...a year isn't all that's promised...the military lies...they are usually stationed somewhere for like 3-5 years...i haven't seen my brother in-law in like 4 years...and it's because they won't let him leave. Alot of people will say "I wouldn't date someone in the military because they might die"...which is wrong, because IF i did date someone in the military and they died, i would feel nothing but PROUD...that my "lover" died for this country...that would be an honor...and it's amazing how people do that, and i give great respects to their wives and deffently to them.

I don't like putting people down but I wouldn't. I can't stand long distance relationships, I want to be able to kiss my boyfriend whenever I want. But don't let that get u down some girls aren't like that. Everyone has different opinions. Just make sure that whoever ur dating knows that u will be gone before u commit to each other.

It would be very hard especially if you didn't know each other before you left for that long. I personally would have a hard time if we were not dating first for awhile because it is a long time without you around, but if I was serious about the relationship then yeah I could stick it out.

I wouldn't mind tht hes gone for a year, I would miss him and all, but I wouldn't mind. Wht I do mind is the fact tht he might not come bck, so I guess tht would kind of stop me from getting involved with a guy from the military... I couldn't bare losing him.

If I liked the guy before he went to the military, and really liked him or loved him, then yes. Because if you care about a person, if you do you will wait and constantly call and write letters, and pray everyday to make sure they don't die, and try to talk them out of it.

Well, if he likes me A LOT, and I see potential in "us", then I would definitely date him. If we fall in love and he will be gone for war, I will be there for him. I am just romantic like that.

yes, I would. If the guy is worth waiting for, then nothing could stop me from being faithful to him, and not even thinking of anyone else. It is wrong to lead someone on, and just because they decide to go fight for MY freedom, why would I not want to wait on them.

It all depends on how you feel about that person. If you like that person enough to wait, then go for it. If you are unsure, date other people. I guess it all depends upon the person.
