I believe it's 3 calls, but do not start with the cops, start with your local phone provider. They will give you a call-back number. When you get a harrassing or prank call, hang up, dial the number they give you and it will be flagged. Once they have 3 or so flagged calls from the same number they will take action. Good luck!

If you think your time isn't so precious that you can still afford some time to call the cops then go on. But if you think it isn't worth it - normally, prank callers do not recurr with non-reactive responses.

This is a growing problem. The phone companies can catch the callers for the police. After all, Bush is listening to all our calls right now.
