It seems like the rudest people don't even make their emails available for us to reply to their answers. It's all still kept secret. We never see your email account. So many people make these strong statements, but offer no opportunity of further discussion. It must be a need to have the last word.

They don't really care what others think including those who answer their questions. They use this forum as their personal soap box. Besides that, some of them are like 12 years old and immature.

I am sure I have given some rude answers but I really try not to be too bad. But I do not give an email address because I do not want to be spammed by the idiots that put the profanity and the x rated pictures and the racial remarks on this site. I have never been afraid of a good argument and don't mind a mild dirty joke or an occassional cuss word but you have to admit some of these questions and answers on here are just WRONG!

I do not know why the rude people do it but I keep mine secret because when I first came on here I had people IMing me and saying some really bad things. I had one guy that wanted me to critique his pen** and sometimes I would have people IM me while my daughter was on so I hid mine. I know that it stops further discussion and I hate that I had to do this because I love a good debate and discussion but too many people just dont know how to act. I hope that helps answer your question because I am sure that I am not the first to have this problem and probably wont be the last.

Because, like terrorists, they lack the 'juevos' to stand up publicly for what they believe.

Those who are serious always provide a multitude of ways to continue genuine discussion. This is why I don't answer as many questions anymore. I am not here to "proselytize", but rather to offer understanding and insight to those who genuinely want it, based from a Christian world view. And it is important to understand the term WORLD view, because I will sometimes seem a little brash and harsh, I do try to filter everything through God's word.

My YA account is set up for email rebuttals and even though I have also made strong statements, I've only received 1 "nasty-gram" to date.

My free time is precious and I may not have time to reply back to replies, but I am mature enough to allow others to voice their opinion - even though they disagree with the documented sources of information I may provide.

I prefer to keep my email address private to avoid "porny people", spammers and scammers so I never list it "out in the open" for the world to see. Deleting hundreds of junk emails isn't my idea of fun and it's time consuming as well.

In short, your first sentence sums it up in a nutshell; "... the rudest people don't even make their emails available for us to reply to their answers".

I simply prefer to express an opinion when questions are asked in an open forum and not debate in endless emails. I do like the last word but the last word really comes from the asker (or voters) who chooses the best answer and gives comments.

maybe for some, but for others it's a matter of self protection. with access to privately email responders to this site, people have been harrassed with spam and other forms of abuse via email.

I always keep my e-mail open. If people want to e-mail me, they can. Strangly, I get a lot of sexual advances from so-called "good, Christian men" because of it, but they're fun to insult.
